This will keep you going, and going, and going, and...
They sent me a 1000 tablet bottle of GeriCare Senna Plus Laxative & Stool Softener Tablets to review. I'll either need to put in another bathroom or donate these to a senior living facility. It's just way too much going for my needs. All kidding aside, these have the same exact ingredients as the name brand they replace, and the cost is a fraction. Just do some comparison shopping right here on Amazon and you will see.The bottle comes with a single seal under the cap. No box or cello wrap seal on the outside. These are made in India and distributed by Geri-Care of Lakewood, New Jersey. I have used other Geri-Care products and never had an issue with them. If you purchase store brand pharmaceutical products then I think you will find these to be no different. No need to pay for the high priced name brand when you can get the same exact ingredients for way less.Just maybe opt for a smaller bottle as it is not recommended to take more than 34mg (4 tablets daily in this case) senna or sennosides and never for more than one week straight.Unless you're having some kind of weird party. Then buy all means, get the big bottle.

Performed Well But Concern with Labeling
I can report that these Senna Plus Laxative & Stool Softener Tablets did the job without causing me discomfort or gas. I opted for overnight so I took the tablet when going to bed my bowels were doing their thing upon waking up.They are described as a vegetable laxative with 50mg of Docusate Sodium and 8.6mg of Sennosides.I like that the ingredients include a small amount of calcium.Size of the tablets are not difficult to swallow. I recommend taking the tablet with a very large glass of water to assist with the absorption.I'm used to relying on powder based laxatives and stool softeners when I travel. These tablets are much easier to pack and administer.I like that the package had a firm security seal.I'm curious why the store brand is GeriCare but the bottle brand is Health Star. I'd like to know the brand structure and supply chain for peace of mind. What I don't like is that they placed a label atop of a portion of the bottle's label which details key information. I'm unable to peel off the overlayed label.I also don't like that there is no visible expiration date. While these tablets did perform well in my test on a two day business trip, I won't be taking anymore due to the covered up label and the absence of clear packaging.

Worked gently but reliably
We usually buy just plain stool softener and they work a bit but sometimes you need a little extra help. Last night I was feeling a bit "full" and realized I hadn't had a salad in a couple days. So I took one of these pills in the middle of the night (adult recommended dose is 2-4 tablets in a split dose over the course of the day) so I was at the low end for a first dose. I had no discomfort aside from a small bit of gas (and I get gas often so it may have been just regular gas and nothing to do with these). About 8 hours later, I had an easy BM and things felt back to normal. The jar I received was the 1000 tablet size (not currently available in the listing but really way more than anyone needs) with an expiration date about 18 months out. These are currently WAAAAY cheaper than the name brand at $5.91 for 100 and work just fine.
