I love how this kit has mid-sized thread, in a ton of colors - so you will likely find a match, and have enough thread to not worry about running out. The added items like good-sized scissors, a needle threader, safety pins etc, seem to be of good quality for a low-cost "travel" kit. Items are held in snugly with wide elastic loops, and the whole thing zips up so nothing will ever fall out.I found getting the thread started from the spool, to be a big frustration. No idea where to begin and no obvious starting points. Also a few items I personally would never use ... a small plastic crochet hook, a large plastic ?? darning needle ?? and mini (but chunky) peg clips. The kit could be made a little smaller, if some items like those were left out.Overall - the quality is good. I have made a few repairs in a hotel suite while travelling, and can atest to the ease of use (except starting the thread!) ... and the workable quality of the items.The thread itself could be of a higher quality - it is somewhat thin and could potentially break easier.So minus a star for thread issues (getting an easy start point and it being thin)But a lot of praise for the amount of thread, variety of colors, ease of use, secure kit and amount of goodies it contains. I would totally buy again, or recommend to others.

I like to sew jeans and ripped comfortable t shirts. I am a 44 year old man with no real tailoring Skill but I sometimes like to fix my own clothes. It relaxes me. This little kit has everything I need to piddle around. It is compact and portable and I doubt I will ever use all of the tools. Great price and value. I have used it twice in the last week. Works for me.

The pieces don't stay in place when traveling. The design of the storage style is just not space efficient. All the pieces work just fine. It's just too bulky for a travel bag. I am keeping it for my in-car emergency kit just because I don't want to bother fixing it. But I will make myself a new housewife that stores these pieces in a more efficient way.

Needing to sew a few buttons on my shorts, I finally opened up my sewing kit for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised to find an array of colors. It seems to have everything you need to get the job done. The kit is definitely worth the money and I am very happy with my purchase!

This is a nice set with almost everything you'll need to stitch something up. My only complaint is the colors did not match what was pictured. I was planning on using a color that was pictured, but it was not included in the set. Other than that, there was a good variety of colors.

These are very nice sewing kits. I purchased them for operation Christmas child shoeboxes but unfortunately they don’t fit in a shoebox so I had to remove the contents from the case. Overall though, very nice value for the money.

It is a small, handy sewing set with enough of everything to do the jobs you need to do. Others I have seen are not as complete. I have one at home and plan on buying another for my cabin.

I've been wanting a small sewing kit to have by my recliner, to allow me to mend socks, etc as I lounge evenings.This kit has all the essentials needed, self contained in a small form factor.
