What a great little flash
What a great little light! I actually bought this to take better pictures of recipes I make for a food blog; I was having terrible issues with shadows and glares on the food- this took care of that. The photos come out great now. I did also try this for selfies. I didn't actually think it would make a huge difference but it did- it really evens out your skin tone and brightens everything up. I'll have to upload a few to show the differences.The piece is very light and easy to toss in your purse or pocket. It is lightweight but does not feel fragile so I wouldn't have any problem tossing it in my bag. It plugs into your headphone jack which is a bit odd on the new iPhone (I have the 6) where the camera button is at the bottom next to the flash. It didnt actually get in the way, much to my surprise. There is an on/off switch on one side, and a low/med/high light switch on the other side. There is just enough difference between the shades to make a difference in brightness. A shortie charging cable is included in the box but this is your basic charger- you can use the same one as you use for your bluetooth/droid/etc. I took this to Vegas this week and tried it out- the charge lasts for a long time. I only had to recharge it once!I'm having fun playing with the angles of the light. I noticed keeping the light below my phone shadows my chin and jawline- a quick "photoshop" tweak without the effort ;)Easy to use- just plug it in and you're good to go!
