Remove the guesswork and buy this combo that includes everything required besides a 2 C-cell MagLite tube. This combo includes an 8 pack of MagLite C Cell cups, 1/2-28 thread adapter(7075 Aluminum), and the lightbulb end cap(7075 Aluminum). Guaranteed to work perfectly on 2 C-cell Maglites(must be incandescent MagLites, won't work with LED version!). Cups are removable lightweight 6061 aluminum for use in a 2 cell C MagLite. Both the lightbulb end cap and cups are center marked. 1/8"-3/16" is left exposed from the end of the tube which allows the lightbulb end cap to compress the cups together creating a liquid/air tight seal. Both factory o-rings are still utilized for the best sealing possible.
