Unusual perspective
I came to like that Earth is shown with a focus on Africa. We are so used to seeing pictures of the Earth with the Americas or Europe in the center that some of my neighbors told me that I am not flying Earth at all. To the annoyance of my family I am also flying the flag with the Southpole up making the cup of Good Hope pointing North. Who are we to define and up and down in an infinite universe and why do we believe there is a correct 2 dimensional projection of a spherical object in Space?

Only one in the neighborhood. In a neighborhood filled with deeply conservative individuals there are hundreds of American flags all over the place. I have a little tiny American flag with my earth flag hanging over the top of it to show my orientation to what’s important.
