A Treasure
I ordered this book on a spur of the moment when I was going through a bad time. I do believe in the law of attraction but I was in need of a recap of some sort; to remind me that all will be ok. This book was a saving grace to me. It filled me with hope and prevented me from veering off track. Even though it was a relatively short book, it was a very absorbing one. Sonia's writing style is engaging and sympathetic. Like one other reviewer had said, it's like talking to a friend. Mid-way through the book, I felt like I was given a new lease on life. I called my friends whom I know are going through a turbulent time and recapitualted the salient points I've gleaned from Unsinkable. Unfortunately, one of my friends rejected the overall message. I guess to some people, its more comforting to cling on to something familar even if it is to your detriment, than venture off to the unknown as Ms. Ricotti points out in her book.As a person who's read many books on LOA, I was surprised to learn a common misconception about the law of attraction. Ms. Ricotti clarifies that spending a few hours releasing the negative emotions, be it sadness, disappointment, or anger, the sooner you can put it all behind you and allign yourself with postive energy. Spending a few hours is a lot healthier than carrying the deep-seated negative emotions with you for several months or even years. I used to fret that if I acknowledged my negative feelings, that I would attract undesirable outcomes so I used to ignore it. Thank you Ms Ricotti for that clarification. What really resonated with me was the part about letting go of the past while retaining the "lesson." Einstein once said, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results." I was an example of that: somehow I always found myself attracting theiving people. The people at one point in my life always stole from me, be it monetary or something of value. I couldn't understand how I always winded up recreating the same situation. My problem was that I didn't let go of the past and it was shadowing every decision I had made. Ms Ricotti points out that we should let the lesson be an empowering one instead of one filled with negativity. Instead of saying something empowering like, "I will make better choices" I used to say: "I am a jerk magnet" and "I'm the Queen of bad luck" further reinforcing my subconscious mind with negativity. A part of me enjoyed playing the victim. That was the "lesson" I kept on repeating to myself. I knew I had to make a significant change and the change had to come from within. I began to apply the concept of the law of attraction and reprogramming my subconscious mind with positive affirmations, and stunningly, the vicious cycle stopped. This isn't a law of attraction book, but it does incorporate LOA concepts because it is fundamental. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is going through a turbulent time. I would read this book a second time simply to re-absorb the lessons.

This is a great book!
This was very inspirational. I am going through an amicable breakup and my partner is moving back to Boston to be with her family and take care of her elderly mother who is slowly going blind. I have taken this very hard. I'm not good with negative changes and I'm looking for ways to handle my emotions. Although I am of the opinion that most of these self-help books are written by and for middle-class people with resources of some kind, including sources of obtaining money from family and friends, as well as having many helpful friends, the advice is solid. I would like to read a book by an author who went from being middle-class to being below the poverty line with the restriction placed upon them of being handicapped and on SSI with its income limits. Under those circumstances, with a pittance left over after paying my bills, I don't believe that the Law of Attraction would work for me. I can't attract money because of the income limits. No matter what these authors say is possible, you have to have some resources of some kind to allow a person to be able to generate an income that will allow a person to be able to prosper enough to not have to rely on welfare to survive. All in all, this book is well written and very positive. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is going through a hard time and needs some encouragement and advice to make it through.

Decent read, but something is missing.
This is (sort of) a law of attraction book, but not quite. The author discusses doing a lot of techniques after a setback that are commonly found in law of attraction (LOA) teachings, such as feeling grateful for your do have, being forgiving towards people and situations that have wronged you, and learning to feel better despite the circumstances. However, knowing that she practices the LOA and manifested a husband that she felt was her soulmate (but turned out to be an alcoholic) I would have liked to have read why she thinks she attracted someone with an addiction in the first place (as most LOA books claim it is something in your vibration that causes you to attract the wrong partner) and I would have liked an update about more on what her current life looks like now. Did she remarry the right relationship for her? A good, quick read, but there wasn't anything in here that I didn't already know. However, for someone unfamiliar with the LOA and everything you should be doing to raise your vibration when life gets tough, it may be a useful read.

Fast read and uplifting book
I definitely recommend this book if you have a few hours to spend and want to change your thoughts and mindset, this is the book for you to read. It flows well and is well written. I also watched the unsinkable movie from the author and thought it also provided positive feedback on changing your thoughts, mindset, and life :)

This book helps to make it easier to learn how to be more honest with ourselves, including the results of appreciating the world surrounding us, first starting with ourselves. So, the more bits and pieces you know about ascension 'Bouncing Back' allows you to combine, comprehend, and see all basic wisdom which presents what you've learned through your life, in present time. The course on line is awesome too.

Much Information, Easy Read
I read the book twice. Once, to get the information and the second time to highlight important messages. It's a very quick book and has many good suggestions.Much like many of the other books of this nature, it would be useful for someone who doesn't want to read longer versions of the same genre. The writer makes everything very understandable and gives concrete exercises that are very do-able.I think it's worth the time to get some useful suggestions if your life is sunk at the moment.

There is so much good advice and it is written clearly
This book is invaluable to anyone who is going through a difficult time or having a hard time recovering from a traumatic event. There is so much good advice and it is written clearly, logically and sympathetically. Some times it is hard to see the wood for the trees when you are in the midst of a crisis but this book will help you to sit down, collect your thought, gain perspective and see there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am so glad that I bought it.

Nothing new
Couldn't go through the all book because most of the advices I have read them from other authors who have written about similar topics. So nothing was really new to me.

This is a reasonable book in terms of value and is certainly helpful to readers seeking this type of advice and assistance. It's not overpriced for what it is, is genuine, humorous covering the topics is said it would.

A manual for life, for you and for your relationships
I could have rated it with 5 stars or better 4 and a half star. It`s excellent. At the beginning I thought it was easy for the author togather information from many experts about self-steem, when turn down, etc. But when I have finished it, I thought that is not easyto choose the best people to write a comment, and she had add really for each topic her own unique techniques for recovering from'hell' (when we touch the bottom). But I still feel that something is missing and is the same with other authors: more profound examples, more diversity of problems, I don`t know. I don`t think it will work with seriours mental problems as severe depression or others.
