I read lots of reviews on this product (and similar products offered by other manufacturers) and the chief complaint of all of them is that the bottle opener "doesn't work". That is NOT the case here. The bottle opener works great!! The product looks great and it was a great price. FYI, this is HEAVY. I used it for my car keys and they always sunk to the bottom of my pockets. Not necessarily a bad thing, of course -- but wanted to point it out. My one complaint is that the chain isn't that strong and it broke one day when the keys were in my gym bag and got snagged. So bummed!!

Got this for myself to open bottles and thought it looked neat. Unfortunately it very poor at opening bottles, so I'm left with it just looking neat. The problems I have with the bottle opener is that it doesn't grip the bottlecap very well (the interior tongue tends to slip), the overall length is pretty short, so there isn't a lot of mechanical advantage, the lifting part ends in two sharp points that like to dig into my hand, and the metal is pretty soft, so after a few attempts, I determined I was ruining the neat looks by bending the metal bits (while still not opening the bottles), so gave up and put it in the decorative keychain collection.

The descriptions of both the sellers and of the previous reviewers here are accurate. This bottle opener looks great, is only slightly cumbersome to keep in one's pocket, and does an adequate job of opening bottles when you consider that it is noticeably smaller than most bottle openers for the sake of actually fitting into your pocket at all. If you want something that will open bottles very quickly, look elsewhere. If you want something that will open bottles decently well while looking like it's attacking the Death Star the whole time then this one is the one for you.

Good quality & sturdiness. But the little piece that grabs the bottle top is a little small and the chain for the keychain part is linked in to the hole where the bottle opener is, which makes it awkward to use. But for a big fan it’s still a cute gift. I use it but had to figure out “the trick” to using it without slipping off the bottle top. The metal is a nice sturdy thickness so it’s worth what you pay for the enjoyment and it looks neat even if the usability is flawed.

I bought this bottle opener in Jan 2017, and used it a LOT. It's not easy or perfect, you have to grip the top of the bottle a bit, but it works and is fun. A little heavy for a keychain, but flat and fits nice in the pocket. I broke the front tip trying to pry something else open (which I did a lot in 4 years of use, but the bottle opener still works). So buying a replacement now (July 2021), I'll be more careful with the tip, I really forced it before it broke. Also opens boxes and cuts through tape great! So very durable, affordable, and fun.

Overall I am pleased with this. The only things I can fault, as other reviewers have noted, is that it can be kind of tricky to get some bottles open. Also, one of the front prongs (the forward mandibles) is slightly bent upwards, which is just an annoyance for me. Other than that, I love the keychain and I get lots of comments and compliments!

I’ve had this on my key ring for about a year now and still holding up to the bottles I’m opening and is also really great at opening boxes and cutting. Very well made and durable and worth the buy. The only con is that it’s heavy compared to other keychains or bottle openers

Great gift for a Star Wars fan, especially those at or above the drinking age ;) This bottle opener actually works but it is a bit heavy so those who don't like heavy keychains beware! But the detail on the Millenium Falcon is amazing; I especially love how the metal has a slight worn look to it since if its too shiny it would come off garish. This package came with the bottle opener keychain, a lanyard and 2 stickers. The stickers I received were BB-8 and Stormtrooper stickers which the person who received this as a gift loved. He put it straight onto his laptop and was really excited about the bottle opener! The keychain did come in a plastic casing that was a bit roughed up a bit but the product itself was in good condition.
