Not as advertised
Definitely not a size 7 as advertised. I received this item yesterday, and it is closer to a size 2 or 3 at the biggest. My dog is 67 pounds, the size 7 harness is supposed to be for dogs weighing 66-95 pounds, so my dog is on the smaller side of that weight range. The harness I received, doesn’t even fit over his head, and he has a small narrow head for his size. This roadie is nothing like any of the roadies I’ve had in the past, or currently have for my dogs. There’s no way to adjust it, it’s very stiff, and seems like it would be uncomfortable for the dog to wear.If you have a small dog, weighing less than 20 pounds, this harness might work, otherwise don’t waste your money.

I have had dog harnesses before which I have liked, but this one seems head and shoulders above the rest. One will never know till an accident occurs, but the safety rating seems justified by the heft, materials and design of this rig. The stiffness of the construction makes this likely to be a great protection for your dog in a crash. That same feature likely makes this harness one that you must remove if your dog is running or walking a long distance, or run the risk of some chafing under the "arms". Over time it does get softer, but the stitching is robust. Before buying this thing I spoke with the inventor/owner of the company (he answers the phone himself). He is clearly a "dog nut" and I mean that in a good way. His passion is evident and he produces a top shelf product. I have 2 Dobermans who are both over 28 inches tall at the withers. Even with their long legs they slip into this harness without hyper-flexing their legs or neck. I have them step into the openings, pull the harness up to their chest, and then have them bow their heads so I can slip the head opening over on to their neck. No straining necessary. Just reverse the process to get it off.

Roadie harness
Seller delivered product in excellent shape and was very prompt. The roadie was different than a previous roadie I had purchased. This one is thicker with padding. Although the fabric is softer for the dog, the roadie itself is much stiffer and less flexible for movement in the car. The strap is also a little shorter so we will likely need a seatbelt attachment to provide extra length. Other than these differences, the roadie structurally fantastic and we feel very safe using it.

Ibought the expensive version of this harness and my dog chewed it in half during car ride
After my dog chewed the chest strap (which was kinda loose at it's tightest) hwich I paid $70 for, I emailed the company. They asked for photos. I sent them the photos. They responded bluntly "CHEWING IS A BEHAVIORAL ISSUE NOT A DESIGN ISSUE. LOL. IT IS A DESIGN issue. My dog has never chwed his ruffwear and other harness. This one he's able to bend his head and reach the chest strap. RUDE response to my inquiry after I spent $70 on their product. You'd think they would be more appreciative of thei customers. I wish they would be nicer.

the harness is great. My dog seems to find it more comfortable ...
Got this for my dog to wear in the car. I'm not a fan of the metal d-ring it came with since it was always clanking against things when my dog was entering or exiting the car, but a hacksaw made quick work of that. Now that the ring is removed, the harness is great. My dog seems to find it more comfortable than the others we tried (a Sleepypod brand one, and another newer model from this same brand).
