Love Queen Jamaican
AestheticallyQueen Jamaica packaging is appealing. The “queen bee” in bright yellow and written context in green perfectly balances against the black background of the label wrapping. The wrapping label around the bottle allows the consumer to see the color and fluidity of the honey.Taste Test (of the honey on its own)Queen Jamaican honey is very smooth in its consistency and has the perfect amount of subtle sweetness that, if eaten on its own, would delight the consumer. I often use raw honey to help reduce the itchiness of my throat when I have a sore throat or cold. Many times other “raw” honeys, which not only do not aid in relieve coughing, but rather add to the coughing (due to the additional ingredients added or the subpar level of honey used). Queen Jamaican’s smooth taste and quality of texture (not to mention the affordability) have given me even more of a reason to no longer purchase market brand honey. Instead I will purchase Queen Jamaican.Taste Test (honey with hot and cold teas)Queen Jamaican honey (approx. one tablespoon) was taste tested in chamomile, early grey, berry, green and herbal teas of both hot and cold consistencies. In each taste test Queen Jamaican ENHANCED the taste of the teas without overpowering them.Taste Test (In oatmeal/cream of wheat)Queen Jamaican provided all the sweetness necessary to aid in the delight meant of eating a bland food such as oatmeal or cream of wheat.Queen Jamaican honey is very smooth in its consistency and has the perfect amount of subtle sweetness that, if eaten on its own, would delight the consumer. Wonderful for Sweetening Drinks
I have a ton of honey in my home all from pure and raw sources so I was excited to try this honey out. This honey is great for sweetening drinks such as tea and lemonade. It has a wonderful tone to it. I would not recommend using this honey as a spread on things such as bread. For me the taste is too mild unless dissolved into a drink.

Terrible off taste, unremarkable flavor
Either I got a bad bottle or most of these reviews are sponsored. Seeing the shear number of 5 star reviews and not a single one below 4, I figured this honey would be a no brainer. 15 bucks for 10 oz. It must be epic, right? So I got the bottle, opened it. It has an offensive smell I cannot quite identify. A strange cheese/sulfur smell. The flavor is similar to how it smells. I really hate this honey. I feel stupid for paying a premium price for honey inferior to $4/bottle of store brand honey. It just really is not good in any way. It smells terrible and tastes terrible. I have had so many other better honeys that had lower ratings than this, am I not getting something here? I love tupelo, meadowfoam, tasmanian leatherwood, manuka, lavendar etc but this is just a huge disappointment. Could this be bad quality control? Does honey go rancid? The bottle is nice at least...

Wrong Taste for My Tongue
I bought this honey with high expectations because it had such rave reviews, and I love honey--real honey, not the sugar syrup they stock in bears on grocery shelves--but I made one crucial mistake. I purchased this after I had already tasted the pinnacle of raw honey for me, the creme de la creme, YS Organic Bee Farms Raw Honey, and it simply cannot compare.I like a sweet honey, and while I know all honey is sweet, some have a brighter taste and sweeten things like my tea more efficiently. I bought Queen Jamaica Honey because it looked more like a "tea honey" to me. It is in a liquid state whereas YS Honey is solidified, so I thought it might disperse even better in my tea. It doesn't. I needed more to taste the sweetness, and even then, I couldn't get it to incorporate so fluidly throughout my tea as the solidified, if you can believe that.Straight off the spoon, this honey is light and floral, probably a product of whatever exotic flowers the bees harvest from, but I must just prefer the homegrown stuff because this is not my taste, especially at this price point. If you like a lighter, more floral honey, give this a shot. It's a beautiful color and the bottle is darling. For me, this will not be a repeat purchase, though it's not because of a quality issue--just taste.
