The best thing I've bought for my Switch1
These are just brilliant, sturdy, chunky and responsive joycon alternatives. Love the way I can keep them on and dock the Switch still - excellent for home docked/undocked play :)The Switch also looks very cool sat inside these, makes it looks actually better when using it portable.I was also using a Satisfye Zen Grip before, which felt very heavy in comparison! So another bonus! My partner is wanting a pair for her Switch now, the Ninetndon Joycons look a joke once you've used these.I also have large hands and these stop me getting cramp, pins and needles in my fingers.RECOMMEND!

Great quality, but wasn't for me.
I have huge hands, so I thought this would be right up my alley, but whether it be the weight of these or the form factor it just didn't feel comfortable for long sessions of use. I ended up defaulting back to the joy-cons, which while smaller for my hands, didn't feel cumbersome after 40 minutes or so.There's someone out there who'll adore these, but they weren't for me.Great quality and remappable buttons, though, definitely feels premium.

Amazing!
Perfect for bigger hands when using Switch in handheld mode (joy-cons are way too small and buttons too cramped), the only negative is the lack of NFC for Amiibo support.

Fantastic product with potential small glitch
I have rather large hands and the joycons on the switch bring me a lot of discomfort if I use them for longer than half an hour.I had a 9 hour flight coming up when I initially looked at this product and it seemed ideal so I bought it. Id say I played for a good 3 hours with no cramp in my hands. Just like playing with a normal controller. In addition the programmable buttons on the back are fantastic for games like Zelda as you can't run and direct the camera on a normal controller without a very strange hand placement. This makes it much easier as you can just map the run button (b or x) to one of the programmable buttons on the back. However, I did experience a slight glitch where the controller would think I was aiming to the right on the left stick. This meant my character would start walking (we're all familiar with this from old controllers). The good news is that upon restarting the console the glitch seemed to stop and the controls were back to normal. I should say that this could have been an in game glitch or the controller. Either way the product still works now and if it broke today I'd buy another :)

The original and the best Hori version
Really well designed. I should have bought these years ago.

Hit with the teens!
My son uses these all the time. So much better than the flimsy joycons.

Amazing but broke after 3 month use.
Bought this item for for my switch, amazing! Felt good in hand and seamlessly slotted into the doc for tv use however after 3 months my right controller has completely stopped connecting to the switch and will no longer work. The left side still connects but now I need a replacement.

Game changer. Buy one
Excellent product that has revolutionised gaming on my switch. Playing FPS games felt unnecessarily difficult using the standard joycons. This pad changes the whole experience and makes games like DOOM, Metro and Sniper Elite play far more like their console counterparts. Incredibly smooth and precise thumbsticksFeels more akin to an Xbox controller in terms of feel and layout. Makes the switch feel somewhat similar to a steam deck too. Very solid feeling product.Has additional triggers/pads on the underside which can be mapped. This is limited to buttons available on that particular side of the pad. I.e the left side can only be mapped the left side inputs (dpad, Left trigger etc) and the right hand side can only map the abxy side of the pad. This is somewhat limiting but still a useful function, especially when mapping jump and crouch in FPS gamesLoads of third party cases are available for the pad + switch combo, I would advise getting one as the console doesn't lay the most comfortably due to the handgrip moulding. Comfortably fits in the switch dock without disengaging the pads tooCan't yet comment on longevity as have only been using for a month or two but will update accordinglyDefinitely worth the money for any switch owner, especially those after a console-like controller experience for shooters
