HEPA Air Direct Aftermarket IQAIR® Three Filter Pack

*update* I chose to ultimately return this set of filters. My room air monitor showed a heighted level of sub 2.5um particles. It was still low-ish, but not what I am used to. This will filter all 2.5um particles without problem. If you need to filter out the smaller stuff, you will need to try something else. I chose to buy the original IQAir filter set and am extremely happy. My pics show the monitor readings of the HEPA Air Direct and the IQAir. I've changed my rating from 5 star to 3 stars.The carbon filter is 7lbs, vs the IQAir brand is 6.6lbs . The frame for the prefilter and the hyperfilter are made of sheet metal with a rubber gasket adhered to one side. The carbon filter looks like it has some zeolite-type of material.I got my IQAir for a steal but the V5 carbon was largely spent since it was just sitting in a garage for a few years. I got this to replace a dying Amway Atmosphere that needed new filters. I noticed some difference with the IQAir and the dead carbon filter, but there was still a bad smell. After replacing all the filters, I noticed a bigger difference. I can't compare a new V5 filter with this one but it works for me.

As soon as I put these in and turned on my machine I noticed a small that aggravated my asthma. I contacted the company and they told me another person had the same complaint but that it went away after the machine ran for a bit. I put the filtering device in a different room Nd let it run for a month with a small improvement, enough that I could use it. I turned it off for a few months recently and just turned it back on and the smell and effect is still there after a year or so of use. I will not be buying these again, the saving are not worth the eye and asthma issues. Turning machine off and ordering iq filters.

So I am not sure if these filters are quite as good grabbing the particles in the air(which is the point) but I must admit $390 a year for me in filters is just getting crazy. These are $290 which is still crazy but getting there. I might try these and if I notice the air quality being wors,e next year I will switch to the regular IQ brand. But I do like the sturdy build of these.

you will have no idea how well these are built and package. well not until you order them. Of course I had the original IQ air filters and always thought they were cheap. but these aftermarket filters are sooooo muchhhhhh better. the packaging was done very well and it was shipped quickly. Not only are they cheaper but made in the USA.

MADE IN THE USA! Same fitment of the oem filters, but built better(metal not Styrofoam), and best of all no wierd offgas smell that I had to deal with with the oem filters. Would buy again in a heart beat for price and build quality.

first time buy the filter replacement from aftermarket other than IQAIR, will see the result after use. but not happy the charcoal leak out from the filter

Awesome value vs the name brand. They are a lot sturdier feeling too. Will but again assuming they last as long as oem filters.
