Excellent optics and really good value.
Having researched the most recent generation of monoculars, this one is to my mind, by far the best value for money out there in this price range. There are all sorts of outrageous claims made in the ads, for items that are at best described as "optical junk", all manner of ridiculous magnifications claimed that can never work, or "quality prisms" on instruments that don't have any prisms etc., etc. However, this neat item is the real thing. The lenses have a subtle full multicoating, to enable maximum light transfer. The quality, but unobtrusive, BAK 4 prisms (general the best kind) do a really good job, and the magnification and focusing mechanisms have a positive feel to them. The Claimed magnification is 10x to 30x. I feel by comparison to my other equipment, that the maximum figure is probably nearer to 26 to 28 times, but the difference is really insignificant. The mono stays pretty much in focus as the magnification is changed (which is rare at these prices) and there is little to no image distortion at the image edge, and no real coloured "fringing" either. A very good unit at this sort of price, with a really bright clear image, FAR better than many considerably more expensive models. Initially, you need to pay attention to the instructions on setting-up and focusing this instrument, but once you have tried a few times this all comes as second nature. The weather proof body of the mono is an Aluminium/Magnesium alloy, which means it is light but strong, and the entire item has a very good quality feel to it. The simple but useful canvas storage case, and the lens caps, also give a nice sense of straightforward quality to this monocular. A genuinely good instrument at a very good price - especially as I bought it on an "Amazon Prime Day" with a "one-off" price reduction - Excellent !

Unbelievable Value !!
After ordering this monocular, a Hawke and a Vortex one to see which would suit my needs, this one came out tops. The Hawke and Vortex are both fixed 10x magnification so as this one is a 10 to 30x zoom magnification, not only is it better for further distances but at £22.00 (after getting an Amazon 35% discount), it really was a no brainer.Ok the other two are smaller but as this one also has a female screw hole for a bipod/stand, again it suits my needs more than the other two much more expensive options. For the money you just can't go wrong !Also before buying I did read a few reviews saying how difficult it all was to work out how to focus it ??All I can say is if you have more than one brain cell, it really isn't much of a task to work it out.

It's good.
Aurosports 10-30x40 Zoom Monocular (manual titled UltraZoom MegaZoom Pro). Measured: 154x50/44mm, 206gr, 241gr with caps and case. Comes with strap, lens caps, lens wipe, manual. Lightweight, clear view. Not small. Good field and light at lowest zoom, less so at higher zooms. Has screw hole for standard tripod. Tripod likely required at higher zooms to avoid shaking. Works with eye glasses. Has 4 controls: In the thin end is the eyepiece. Turning it does not seem to make much difference and is not mentioned in the manual btw. The ring next to the eyepiece is for setting the zoom level (may have to turn the eyepiece to unlock it). The remaining 2 controls are the extend/collapse of the barrel and turn of the barrel for approximate and fine focusing respectively. To adjust either do as the manual says (not sure it is not confused tho). Alternatively set the desired zoom. Lower zoom provides more light and wider field but less magnification and more shaking. Next, to focus hold the thin end of the barrel and turn the thick end to say around midway around the 10 mark leaving adjustment room to either side, extend/collapse the barrel until approximate focus is found and then again turn for fine adjustment. Guess the case is designed for the scopes thin end with its end cap at the bottom of the case and thick end with its end cap at the lid end as there is cut outs in the sides in the lid end for room for the big end cap. A keeper.

Really good quality for the price.
This is one of the items where I read reviews and think some people must have received a different item. The monocular is compact, sturdy with good optics. It requires some adjustment in use, this is an optical necessary. In order to be small enough to fit in my gloves box or hang comfortably in it's case off my belt the monocular has to be extended while you use it.At 40mm it's bright and clear in moderate to good light but will struggle fully zoomed in low light conditions, again that's physics, if you need high zoom in low light you need a bigger, heavier more cumbersome scope.I'm not sure it fully achieves 30x zoom but it's close and, again any higher zoom and you will need a tripod mounted scope. My interest is birds and wildlife and it's smaller and lighter , easier to use and as good if not better optics than much more expensive binoculars. It doesn't compete with a scope but I can't just carry a scope around me with the convenience of this.I haven't dropped it, but if feels like it would cope and at this price I'm not going to cry if I lose it or do damage it. I think it's a bargain
