Quality product that cleans up installation. Used the small Dinosaur UIB to repair Suburban RV water heater. Original board was zip-tied to mounting strap of water heater. When original board shorted, it left slight scorch marks on two sided tape the was on back of board. Lucky it didn’t set something on fire. This cover has an aluminum back that should serve as a heat sink in the event of component failure. Allows a space between the back of circuit board and the mounting plate.

If you need to buy the igniter board, you will be glad that you bought this. The Dinosaur board is slightly bigger, heavier, and well built; therefore, the OEM housing for the smaller board that always burns out will will not hold the Dinosaur board. Yes, I recommend this housing for the igniter board.

This kit made mounting the new Dinosaur board for my "S" water heater easy. Instead of the board being tapped to the side of the water heater Styrofoam enclosure it now has a finished look and a more protected and secure place to live.

The mounting kit is well made and fits perfectly. My only issue was that it shipped with a piece of white tape over a hole in the top. The hole is directly over the igniter connection. Their intention is for you to use the side cutout. I didn't like the look of that. My fault for not seeing the hole clearly shown in the picture. I removed the tape, installed a grommet, and plugged the side hole with a rubber stopper trimmed to fit. This allowed me to keep the boot on the igniter and have a more waterproof seal. Now the only leak point is near the power connection.

Was easy to install,can be used on a couple different appliances,and says on the circuit board where to ground which appliances. I used it on my water heater.Thank youTroy

Used this to replace OEM boards from Dometic (Made in China)that seem to work for a few months then fry the PCB below a capacitor and the spark coil. The Dinosaur has been going strong since installed, and not much more than the OEM Dometic garbage..

Not sure if this review is for the complete replacement kit or not as I received a part that I didn't need as it was included in this item if this is the complete item. Anyway, the original part failed shortly after purchased. The Dinosaur replacement was somewhat easy to install and worked as soon as the power was turned on. As only time will tell, I can say that it looks and feels much better then original.

What can I say, other than it was a perfect replacement for my old one.
