Taste is horrid, but good product
I should’ve read all the other reviews before I tried to drink this in some water. It is so gross! Like a taste that just does not go away. Other than that, it seems to be a good product, at a fair price. But wow, I definitely recommend drinking it down with some pomegranate juice or something strong. You have been warned.

Good product
The taste is kind of 'fishy'. I stir it into pure pineapple juice (Aldi's or Trader Joe's) and dilute it with a little water (1-2 Tbs). I slug it down w/o breathing, then rinse with water or brush teeth. I am sleeping better and feeling better after taking D3-K2 and Magnesium Glysinate for the last two months.

Terrible Product.
Terrible product. Settles very quickly to the bottom of glass and form a hard clump. Had to use a utensil to get it out of the glass. I'm so disgusted with this product I'm writing my first negative review of a product on Amazon after twenty years of using Amazon.

DIY electrolyte powder base
I've been attempting to stay better hydrated beyond coffee and juice, I've really cut down on the soda as I've gotten older, now in early 40s.I dislike most of the flavors out there for sports or electrolyte drinks and powders. The premade stuff, you are paying for mostly water as well. Decided to attempt to make my own mixture, using magnesium glycinate since the gentlest on tummy. Used Jorge Cruise recipe, but not include the glycine since this isn't for weight loss or appetite suppressant.Recipe is 1/2tsp sea salt, 1/8th tsp potassium chloride, and 1/16th tsp magnesium glycinate. Did not measure, but roughly 1/2tsp sugar and couple scoops of dragonfruit powder. I also ordered mango powder and goji berry. It was interesting let's just say. Not sure I used enough of the fruit powder. One suggestion was use the True Lemon packet and I think that might be better, or put the salt, potassium, magnesium electrolyte mix in juice. Lesson the sugar amount too in this base mix, since it overpowered the flavor of the salt a little too much, without enough dragonfruit powder flavor, and made my stomach kind of queasy from the over sweetness, with slight undertone of salt.Overall, I like this base electrolyte mix since I can experiment with flavors and use real sugar or honey, maple syrup or put in juice, versus fake since the premade stuff can be overly too chemical sweet at times.I'm a big fan of the subscribe and save since able to cancel orders if you want ito skip a delivery, or I cancel a subscription and start a new one if item is at a better deal, especially those with an additional 15- 25% off first order coupon on top of the subscription.Since this container will last me awhile, I will have time to check on the best deal to start another subscription on this same brand if less, or have the container delivered in the couple months I have it set for.

Taste: ideas to make it palatable
I researched every type of magnesium available currently on Amazon. This was the purest one with no added magnesium stearate and other fillers, or magnesium citrate which can affect mineral balance in the body according to the Magnesium Advocacy Group (gotmag.org). Of course I proceeded to read the reviews and pretty much every review mentioned the bad taste of this product. Instead of being deterred I became curious to see how this product can really be that bad. Before this we were taking the Kal Activgels which I opened for the kids (as prescribed by their doctor) and which tasted so good that the kids enjoyed taking it. When I opened the can I first took a pinch and put it straight in my mouth to see exactly what the fuss is all about. The first thing I noticed was it tasted very alkaline. After a second, as I analyzed what the taste was, I realized it tasted a lot like baking soda, not rotting fish guts or anything else related to fish like some had mentioned. So if you are unsure whether to buy this or not, taste a little baking soda and see if you can tolerate the taste. I don’t think it’s bad at all. No, it’s not full of sugars and flavors. It’s a mineral. It’s medicine. It’s not supposed to taste like candy. Thank you Doctor’s Best for continuing to make a clean product despite the complaints. Please keep it pure. Next came the kids challenge. If so many adults report not being able to tolerate it, surely a 4 and 7 year old won’t touch it, right? I mixed their prescribed amount into a glass of Amazing Grass Green Superfood berry flavor mixed with water. It’s not sweet, just has a slight berry flavor. They both drank it down without a fight. I asked the 7 year old what he thought. He said “eh, not too bad I guess, it kind of tastes like seaweed, maybe seafood, like mussels, it’s not too good but it’s ok”. I also tasted it in that combination and my first thought was a slight seaweed flavor. It bad at all. Now I’m curious how my body handles it. My old glycinate was not being absorbed properly. I’m hoping this one will.

Ok
I think I like citrate for sleep better. This is just ok.

Tastes like ass but gets the job done
The taste is absolutely foul, but it's the best magnesium I've tried ever. Definitely buy this item if you're in need of good quality magnesium but for your own good please don't ever mix this in water or other weak-tasting liquid. You'll never be able to forget the taste and it'll make you afraid to take more. From your first dose I recommend mixing in juice or, do what I do, and mix it with that Emergen-C powder. Once you mix it in water the taste will infiltrate your memory and you'll feel afraid every time you drink it, like I do. Again, best freaking magnesium out there, but for the love of God do not drink this without mixing in a strong tasting liquid first. The other reviews saying the taste isn't that bad are crazy - it is that bad, but worth it as long as you mask it.If you go against my advice and drink it in water, immediately chase it with something else and don't breathe through your nose for at least 30 seconds. Idk man just trust me
