Great curlers
Love how big they are and the catch line that helps get my hair started on the curler, the clips they have are way better than the J pins most have but I did notice the pins are kinda weak and may break soon. Maybe they will come out with a much stronger better made set of clips I can get later. If you are wanting curlers that get real hot ( I have gray hair and I need it really hot to get and keep a curl ) then these are the curlers for you. They have 2 settings ,I used high and they got really hot YAY, put it this way you may want to wear gloves so you don't get a little hot on your finger tips. The only problem I had was one of the curlers wasn't heating up so I switched it with one that was getting hot and it started to heat so it wasn't the curler but when I twisted the other one down it got hot again too, so they don't all attach to the tray they way they need too. I just check them as they start to heat up and switch or tighten as needed till the are all getting hot. I think the tray should be flat not wavy but who knows. They worked great once they were in my hair and were very hot just they way I needed.

Calista Tools Hot Wavers Heated Hair Rollers is a HOT item!
I love that this set has an abundance of 12 (yes!) 2" rollers...I wasn't interested in a bunch of different sizes that I wouldn't use. The rollers have teeth to grab your hair so your hair stays in the roller. The rollers get very hot on the high setting which is exactly what I prefer. The only drawback are the clips. They're flimsy and the rollers keep sliding out of place no matter where I place the clip on the roller. Since I'm happy with the Calista Rollers set, I spent an extra $10 and ordered some heavier clips that work better but like a lot of reviews, we all need the metal clips which always held the rollers in place. I can't find any metal clips to fit 2" rollers so if someone found them, please, please provide a link for the rest of us and we would really appreciate it! Overall, very happy with the purchase. I'd give the set 5 stars if it weren't for the clips. Fast shipping and the rollers came in a really nice zippered container. I hope this review helps. Thanks!

Work at a high elevation.
I live in the mountains and have had a problem with curlers getting hot enough to do the job. They all worked at a lower elevation but not on top of the mountain. This is the first set I have had that can do the job at a high elevation. They are excellent. Very satisfied. As far as the review on the clips, I have never been able to get the the plastic comb type clips to hold the curlers in my hair with any sets of electric curlers I’ve used. I always use the metal “U” shaped pins. Just be sure you purchase the “U” pins in the correct size for the curlers. I would suggest the manufacturer add the metal clips. All my other sets came with both. I thought the fact there is no cover would be a problem since all the ones I’ve used for forty years did, but I’m ok without it. The curlers themselves are worth sacrificing that. Maybe the manufacture could add that to reach perfection.

Too hot, not hot enough....
The low setting is too cool and won't do anything for my hair. The high setting is too high and burned my scalp. To use them, I have to set it on high, then cut it down and let it cool a bit and roll a few sections....then cut it back up and roll a few more until too hot.....back down (when they get too hot), etc. Very frustrating, but the high is simply too hot. Burns my fingers, hair, and scalp. The clips are flimsy. I've mastered a way to keep the rollers relatively tight using the clips, but in order to do that, it leaves creases in my hair. These weren't terribly expensive, but they weren't cheap either. I would NOT purchase these again.

Beautiful set of rollers, but need metal U Clips!!!
These rollers are beautiful for sure. The set is solid and impressive. The heat settings are extreme, low being too low and high being extremely hot. Almost have to let them cool off awhile before putting them in my hair. They burn my fingers. Never had rollers get so hot. As for the clips, they are absolutely useless. I ended up ordering some U clips from another manufacturer in the 1.5" size and with some stretching, they work pretty good at keeping the rollers in. Calista should consider switching to the U's - makes all the difference in using this rollers. Bottom line for me, I've learned how to use these and they work well, but the set could be awesome with a few tweaks.

FABULOUS
These arrived today. I AM THRILLED!!! I wish I had these years ago! They are the LARGEST rollers that I have ever seen! Because of previous reviews, I knew the clips would not be as sturdy as I would wish. It seems that by clipping from under the roller with the teeth facing up, helps add a little more support. I had read in previous reviews that the rollers didn’t heat well. The roller CONTAIN the heating element. The roller itself is what is hot, so push the roller firmly on the heating prong and they will heat very well! I would give this 4.5 stars, because of the clips, but I don’t know how to make a .5 star and they are too FABULOUS for a 4 star rating. I have LONG, THICK, COURSE, hair. These won’t work well on thin, fine, short, hair. If you have long thick hair that is difficult to wrap around the average jumbo hot roller, you will LOVE these💕

Great find!
Awesome product...more than double the amt of rollers than any other set, but a couple suggestions: include heat gloves as these rollers get HOT! AND need a different clip to hold in place. That single metal clip is useless. I use a set of claw clips from a previous hot roller set, but because of the size of these rollers they barely fit. Otherwise, you cant beat the price for the amt of rollers you get and how good they work.

Very heavy
Liked the 12 rollers. My hair is past shoulder length and very fine. I did have problems with the clips and the weight of the rollers. Too large to travel in my carry on even taking apart. I wanted the larger rollers and they work okay if I don't do any activity where they can fall out. Need better clips. Take long time to heat so I start on high and then turn back. High is almost impossible to handle.
