What a wonderful book for both ideas and instructions. This should be in every book makers library.

This book is easy to use and fun to dip into. Books are grouped by use, so gardening books may use recycled seed packets; travel books suggest ones for notes and ones for memorabilia. It works for many levels of expertise and has a nice, friendly approach that invites you in to make books. And making books is a fun thing to do, particularly with this book.

If Wes Anderson published a manual on handmade books, this is what it would look like. Amazing design, wonderful photography, and incredibly simplistic instructions fill every page, and you easily get the feeling that Erin Zamrzla has a love of the craft of bookmaking. It's evident in every square inch.If you're looking for an instructional handbook to be used in the classroom, or if you're simply intrigued and looking to begin a love affair with book binding, then look no further.

Didn't work for me at all. I wanted to learn how to make a nice simple leather bound journal with different types of paper, this book seems to be about how to make books out of scraps.

This delightful book show the writer, illustrator, or crafter, how to make 28 books from the simple to more complex. Illustrations and diagrams along with samples make it very easy to follow.

Creative ideas in this book! The directions for each project are clear with good illustrations. I am happy with my purchase.

Love the book.

If you already have "Handmade Books for Everyday Adventures" by the same author (Erin Zamrzla), don't bother with this - I reckon about 75% of the content is pretty much identical. If you don't already have the other one, then this is fine- just don't buy the other one, for the same reason.

Arrived this morning, and I love it already. Full of adaptable, quirky projects, which nonetheless will have useable applications for anyone, at whatever level of crafty. Well presented, and step by step instructions clearly and logically set out - traditional techniques brought bang up to date. It's a book which over-steps my expectations!

Love this book but the projects are a bit more tricky than I expected.

Un libro agevole, interessanti i progetti presentati; non sono moltissimi ma sono ben spiegati. Consiglierei questo libro ai principianti o per chi volesse aggiungere qualche idea in più al proprio bagaglio di conoscenze.
