MEIKON 40M/130FT Underwater camera housing for Canon PowerShot G16 The primary application of this underwater housing is underwater photography/videography. However it can do a lot more by protecting your camera from weather hazards such as rain, dust, snow etc. Because of its compact size and near all functionality, it is an ideal item to have while traveling. Just insert your digital camera in Meikon housing and you will be able to take beautiful pictures at depth up to 40 meters/130 feet. Meikon products are reliable, as they are made out of high quality materials. Each housing is tested individually to prevent any accidents. Meikon provides excellent quality for a reasonable price. IMPORTANT Please remove any protection filter that is installed on your camera, as well as any additional grip, before inserting the camera inside underwater housing. The back control dial on the camera will not be accessible, instead you can use up, down & left and right buttons. Excellent product
I previously had a Canon housing for a similar camera and decided to buy this one based on good reviews and the company's name. The housing build appeared solid and well made. I found however that I had trouble closing the housing applying the force I was used to and called the seller about the problem. I was made aware that this housing had two O rings to provide tighter closure and required more force to close. After that, things worked very well and tried it underwater with no problems at all. I am very satisfied with the product and can recommend it without hesitation.

Value for price
Very similar in design and a better alternative to WP-DC52.I highly recommend because there is a 67 mm lens thread already and spectacular price . At first dive maximum depth was around 21 meters it was worked as expected.Dial's (at the back and front) are not accessible but with the "S" button you can use all the functions.

Very good quality housing and reasonable price.

Get wet.
In shallow water it work great. I have not taken it deep yet. It is Well built. Yes the red filter comes with it. A nice bonus. I gave it a 4 star because I have not fully tested it yet.
