My peek was already used to having his teeth cleaned before bed. He would come when I called him and climb on top of me. I lay in bed to clean his teeth. That way I can see in his mouth. The bedside lamps light it up in there. He has always came to get them cleaned, but sometimes clearly reluctantly. I use the little cloth finger puppet style cleaners. I decided to add Toothpaste to the regimen and it must be tasty. Now he climbs on top of me as soon as I start opening the jar of finger wipes. I have to add Toothpaste with him on top of me. He won't wait to be called. In addition to tasting great, I do think I see better results cleaning. The vanilla mint smells pleasant too.

The toothpaste is great. My kitty loves it. The merchant is dependable.
Until Amazon changes their community guidelines on reviews, we as buyers are not going to know what the likelihood of us getting good product is. We are not allowed to include reviewing the merchants customer service, which is often directly to the product that we bought. I will continue giving product reviews, and the stars will be right, but this will be the write-up. Of course, they will probably not allow this either. Because I am reviewing them and not the product. And they are protecting bad merchants and then advertising on how good their review policy is.

Works well as it should
I ordered vanilla mint flavor and been using it on my ShiMa, Maisy, for about 2 yrs now. This toothpaste works well in getting rid of tartar and it’s easy to use. Maisy is 8 yrs old with a few missing teeth in front top and bottom, vet said it’s a problem with the breed. She has her teeth cleaned professionally every 2 yrs. I used to brush her teeth once a week then every other day with a different toothpaste but tartar continued to build-up. So now I’ve been brushing her teeth everyday after her dinner with Virbac and I can see the difference. She has no bad breath, never did, and her teeth are cleaner—tartar was mostly on molars. She hides from me when it’s brushing teeth time, she seems to know when it’s time but she doesn’t really mind having it done once I catch her when she least expects me. Then she goes to the pantry where we keep the dental chew treat which she’s crazy about. The price is too steep for a 2.5oz tube but people—including me—will buy it for their beloved dog.

Vet recommended
My vet recommended this toothpaste. I just wish it didn't include titanium dioxide and sodium benzoate. Out of necessity I've started brushing my two brother kitties teeth with Virbac. It does seem to work more efficiently and effectively than others I've tried in the past. That being said...why is there so many dangerous ingredients in our pets toothpastes? Can't someone formulate a paste without bad ingredients!! My vet recommended Clenz-a-dent which is a kelp powder. Sounds safe...it is not. After 11 days of the proper amount in their dinner my one little guy began bleeding from his eye. Long story short it gave him hyperthyroidism from extreme iodine amount and most likely too much sodium as well. I was infuriated that my vet assured me it wouldn't harm them. So I switched back to Virbac...while not perfect much safer than Clenz-a-dent. IMO that product is dangerous as hell.

My dog begs for it
My dog loves this toothpaste. I started her on it when she was a young puppy. I don’t actually brush her teeth, she does. I just put the toothpaste on a three-sided dog toothbrush and she lick it off the brush then chews on the bristles. And of course by licking she is getting the toothpaste on her teeth. I make sure to get it down in the bristles so when she chews on the bristles she is cleaning her own teeth. When the bristles get too chewed up I just buy new toothbrushes on Amazon. I tried several times to brush her teeth the proper way but she wasn’t having it. Now I just let her do it herself, no sense in fighting her or her attitude. LOL. A year later and a few tubes of this toothpaste her teeth are still pearly white.I keep the toothpaste and toothbrush sitting on my end table and my dog begs, no whines, for it every day. She will paw at the end table until she gets her teeth brushed. She really likes the taste of it which I was surprised because of the mint. I can smell the mint and it’s not too strong. I have not tried the other flavors because my dog is very happy with this flavor.

Preferred Toothpaste
This is the second time I bought this toothpaste and I will continue going for it. I did switch to a different one once, and honestly I wasn’t very happy. With this product, my Yorkshire breath is always fresh and minty. Plus, she is almost 7 years old and preserves all her teeth. I strongly recommend it!

The Best Dog Toothpaste
This is the best dog toothpaste that I have found. It smells wonderful like vanilla. It keeps my American Eskimo Dog’s teeth very clean and white. He’s almost 11 years old and has great teeth. He has only needed one dental cleaning so far. This fresh smelling toothpaste is worth every penny.

Results in just 4 days, tartar is coming off!
Just 4 days of brushing with Virbac CET Enzymatic Toothpaste & the buildup (tartar) is crumbling off my dog's teeth! My dog is 8 years old, we've never manually brushed until now. He has tartar build up mostly on his K9's & two front teeth. Using a tool I attempted to remove tartar BEFORE ever using this toothpaste. It wouldn't budge. No I didn't hurt my dog. A week later I purchased this toothpaste. Day 2 of brushing, some tartar crumbled right off, in the midst of brushing. Day 4 more started coming off; the gum line of his K9's is now Tartar FREE. I'd definitely say it's working! I've noticed less stinky breath as well. I purchased the poultry flavor & he loves is. Seeing as it's only been 4 days, I'm confident a full month will show tremendous results. I started brushing for 30 seconds on day #1, by day #4 were at 60 seconds. I have a fear triggered aggressive dog, so this experience was definitely made easier by this toothpaste...it works & he thinks it tastes good. Photo shows chips of tartar that flaked off today while brushing. I can't photograph his mouth as I need another set of hands to do so; I'll try to update photos as we progress with brushing.
