I was a little worried when I purchased this blanket because there are several types and weights listed on Amazon. I am very happy with this one! Does not shed at all. I call it "the perfect disappearing blanket". Why? Because it is so absolutely soft and relatively light that once it comes up to body temperature, you cannot even feel it touching you anymore. The billions of soft microfiber strands cause it to float weightlessly on your entire body and the polyester is so slippery that you do not get hung up in it at all while sleeping. I ended up buying a second one to use as the bottom sheet - no top sheet. (To experience the full effect of this phenomenon, it is best to shower before bed and sleep in the buff - you'll never go back!!) At first, it did not feel like it was going to be warm enough, but it was perfect. Not overbearing and sweaty. It is SO cuddly and comfortable that I only remember a few minutes after I go to bed, and literally the next thought I have is realizing that my alarm clock is going off in the morning. I have not had this kind of full-night's uninterrupted sleep in years!SUPPLEMENTAL COMMENT: WARNING!! Do NOT wash this blanket in anything but cold water/cold rinse with a minimal amount of mild detergent. Do NOT put it in a warm or hot dryer. Do NOT use any bleach on it. Doing so will irreversibly change it. The bleach with close up the fabric weave and stop the blanket from breathing - you will immediately become sweaty through the night. The hot water and/or hot dryer will "melt" the tiny tips of the microfibers and the blanket will not be "super soft" anymore. It will still be soft, but the special "slippery" super soft feel will be gone forever. When you do wash it in cold water with a mild detergent, it is perfectly OK (actually recommended) to put it in a cold dryer on the "Air Fluff" setting for 10 or 15 minutes - but no heat! This fluffs up the fibers and restores the out-of-the-package "super softness". I actually bought two new ones to get that feeling back and moved the now "normal soft" ones into the guest room.

I was hesitant to purchase this blanket after reading that some reviewed that there was shedding. I am so glad I purchased it! I washed it first, and there was little to no lint in the dryer lint catcher. The blanket is so soft!!! The blanket has had no shedding of any kind even when placed next to other blankets or clothing. I love it!!! It fits nicely on the queen size bed. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one for a gift or for myself! And as always, thank you Amazon for the fast Prime delivery! Love having Prime! Makes shopping so easy!

It is suitable for the current weather, and it is very comfortable to touch. It can make me sleep better.

This blanket is super soft and matches my decor. My dog enjoys it as well. I like that it is long enough to cover my entire body.

So soft and pretty. Used only a few times over the four months I’ve had it, but now it’s pilling so badly I have to throw it away. Truly disappointed.

Thought I was order an electric blanket, not realizing they mixed the blankets in together. HOWEVER: I opened it and IT WAS THE BEST MISTAKE I EVER MADE!! Blanket is soft and warm....HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! So much, I ordered one for my daughter! THANK YOU

I LOVE this blanket next to my skin! It's light as a feather and oh so cuddly. The color goes so we'll in my bedroom. But take heed ... use cold water very little soap. No heat to dry but dries quick in front of the fan anyway. But I read one lady ruin hers permanently with the heat and I had a very expensive one a few years back and the heat destroyed the softness... It probably melts it. The fabric breaths a little but it tend to hold in the body heat. Good for cold nights or reading in the living room ... Or wrap around your mate for a life sized teddy bear woobie!! Enjoy and sleep well!For the price get the single blanket size not the throw size. There is absolutely NO SHEDDING and no color bleeding. The Hem goes all the way around

According to all the reviews and advertising of this blanket this blanket doesn't shed or pill. Well, I must have gotten a bad one, just washed in cold water and low heat and I can't believe all the pills and shedding ! I just spent over an hour pulling off all the pills on this. In fact, it felt like I was pulling most of the blanket off. Totally unacceptable! Very disappointed because it was so soft and pretty pre wash. So much came off that it shed all over my shirt like dog hair. Contacting seller.
