First off, as a self-proclaimed grilling aficionado and a BBQ purist, I don't typically use anything but hardwood lump coal and a match, but I thought I'd give this a try. Simply put, this mat is amazing! Let me break down the benefits...1) Taste: I've used similar grill mat products and experienced a burned-plastic taste (which other reviewers warned me about). Not with this grill mat. This mat preserves the integrity of whatever I'm cooking.2) Heat transfer: I prefer my steaks seared but not charred, so I get the coals nice and hot (at least 600 degrees) and sear both sides. This mat not only allows the heat through, but I can even get those highly coveted grill marks through the mat! Major plus in my book. Plus, when I'm cooking something greasy like burgers or brats, there's no arm hair-singing grease fire. Not even an occasional flare-up, which is great, considering arm hair is a requirement of a true backyard BBQer.3) Clean up: Arguably, my least favourite part about grilling is the clean up. I like to create a mess, not clean one up. When I'm done using this mat, I can literally walk it inside (it's cool to the touch) and wipe it down with a paper towel and throw it in the dishwasher. Done. I've even started taking a spare mat with me to the BBQ in the local park. Those public grills are disgusting, but with my trusty grill mat, my food never touches the rusty, Hepatitis-laden grates!Oh, and I'd be remiss not to mention the utility of these mats, too. On the days that I'm cooking inside, I use this mat in the oven. Baking cookies? Slap one of these bad boys down on the baking sheet and no more scraping burned cookie remnants off of the metal sheet. Cooking a roast? Put this on the bottom of the pan and hey presto! Clean up has never been easier. I even used the mat as a "catch-all" below a pie panOverall impression: Two man-thumbs up!

This is one of a few items I have bought from Mountain Grillers over the years and as ever, the quality really wins out over the other products I have bought from other shops. Especially this grill mat with its non stick finish which is miles better than others I have tried.So easy to clean and maintain, but it is the thickness and quality which makes this one stand head and shoulders above the rest. Super easy to clean, just wack it in the dishwasher, although make sure you wipe off any sauces or other stuff you cook with before hand as they are a nightmare to remove once they get hard.Love how I still get grill marks on my meat as well. Second buy music a great difference on the Barbie and really easy to use

Last Sunday I did a “barbecue” in my house with my family and I gave it a try. Tired of baking paper I wanted to try it. It’s perfect for the oven, I didn’t use metal utensils as recommended, and it’s even better. I used to use other mats and I wasn’t completely satisfied because sometimes they leave a burned plastic taste and with this mat I didn’t have any similar issue. The taste was great and the mat was super easy to clean. It’s a very useful tool. I totally recommend it

These great value non stick grill matts have transformed my BBQ cooking. I am no longer worried about losing that tiger prawn or merguez sausage through the grill or flames jumping up due to the fat dripping. SO easy to use and clean up afterwards. They remove all the mess and fuzz. Highly recommended.

They felt a little too flimsy when I first cleaned them, when I starting using them I thought they were great but I soon realised the fat from the food sits on top of the mat before all falling off into the same place causing aggressive flames. Once I removed the mats it was a lot easier to control again. Nice idea but just not for me.

These mats are brilliant. Simpy place on top of your BBQ or grill and they save so much mess. You can cook practically anything on them - even eggs, onions, veg. Definitely worth having and wash to brand new in dishwasher.
