Though I've been using these scissors for only a few days, I'm rather impressed with the quality and performance of these "Super Shears". They really are quite a solid and hefty pair. The plastic handles are reasonably comfortable and easy to grip (I can place up to three fingers inside in the lower loop). The blades are very sharp and the cutting action feels noticeably tight and smooth While I've not cut much else but paper and cardboard so far, I can't imagine cutting through far tougher materials with very much difficulty. These German-made scissors boast a lifetime warranty and are clearly made to last.

I have the 5” version (different handles) and love it, Which is what prompted me to buy the larger 7” size. This is by far my favorite brand for fabric scissors . I prefer this over my 8” Gingher. These are lighter and doesn’t tire my hands. Although my 7” ones are still new, I have no doubt that it will withstand the test of time and remain sharp years from now. I’ve had my 5” for about 15 + years now and they are still my sharpest pair. I am careful with it and only use it for fabrics.

These scissors are very sharp & have easily cut through cardboard & those difficult-to-open hard plastic packages. DO NOT DROP ON FOOT! The point is equally as sharp which I almost learned the hard way! I have RA so I frequently drop things. One day while cooking, I dropped them & thankfully missed my foot but my Chef's Mat wasn't so lucky & neither was the linoleum underneath! The scissors were standing straight up & down until I reached down to pull them up & out! So definitely not for smaller children to use. They would however, also come in handy should an intruder come at you with these handy! Lol I would buy these again without hesitation!

Very sharp with even, smooth action. Only problem I see so far is the metal does not extend all the way around the handle. The description says it's virtually unbreakable, and I hope they are. Tried it on 4x thick upholstery material and it was not a problem. So far so good!

These are very well made and razor sharp. They cut like crazy--smooth and straight with little effort. They function perfectly for quick jobs. If I had to use these for many cuts, or for longer than 10 minutes, the crisp right-angles where the forefinger rests ahead of the plastic handle would begin to become pretty uncomfortable. I solved the problem by rounding the sharp edge with a whetstone. Very comfortable now.

I'm an 'old dog' in the kitchen and I am familiar with many kinds of general purpose scissors and poultry scissors. My advice for all of these items is to not wash them in a dishwasher. The high heat and the harsh detergents and the vibration are no friends to the screw assembly that holds things together or to the structural integrity of the handles. To wit: my wife put our Henkels scissors in the dishwasher one too many times and we lost the (hidden) screw fastener in the rinse cycle. Other reviews commenting on this Dahle product found that the adhessive holding blades and handles together would fail after a few cycles through the dish washer.This pair has finely matched, well-sharpened blades. The cutting edge is FOUR INCHES while the over all length of the complete unit is EIGHT INCHES. I would not recommend buying the smaller sizes of this design for general use.

This brand really is the best dressmaking scissors in my opinion. They are light and the blades open and shut easily and smoothly especially for stiff fingers. The tips are also so sharp for precision cut and blades last for many years. This pair is a medium / small length and lies fairely low to the surface while cutting so it doesnt disturb the fabric, which i like for better control especially going around curves.
