Works great. My 2009 Silverado tripped a code on the engine. This device told me I had an air leak, likely from the gas cap. Sure enough, I replaced the gas cap, reset the error code and that took care of it. At this price, every backyard mechanic, or anyone with a car should have one! At this price point, it's a great bargain. One last thing, it does not just give you a code like some do, it tells you what the code means in English. Nice!

This OBD scanner more than paid for itself with one issue! My car had an intermittent electrical issue that caused the "check engine" light to come on. I am NOT an expert in automotive issues This sleek scanner was simple to use and gave me clear codes to read and look up in the included book. I googled my code results to understand them further. When I took the car into the shop, I was able to clearly communicate all this information to the mechanic, which helped him to diagnose and fix the problem on the first shot (of course, he did further testing with the more advanced equipment in the shop. I felt so much more knowledgeable and in control of the whole situation than I ever have when bringing a car to the shop before. I am definitely a satisfied customer and would recommend this OBD scanner to anyone.

This scanner does exactly what I expect it to do. I'm able to read codes on my 2008 GMC to see exactly what is throwing the alert on my pickup and then fix it. There are nicer ones available with better displays, but I like that it’s simple and I get all the functionality needed from this OBD scanner for a cheaper price than anyone else. I'd recommend this to anyone needing to fix any alert. The mechanic wanted $100 just to diagnose the car which was ridiculous! Better to know what the issue is before going to any mechanic.

It worked. It gave me a code that I was able to look up and get a general idea of the problem. Good tool to have on hand.

Great value. Works immediately. No need for a phone app. The manual has the codes. My problem was a loose fuel cap! I could reset the code and turn off the check engine light. Perfect for $15.

I don't usually leave reviews as I like to think people should come to own conclusions by themselves, however, I am leaving one now. I know nothing about cars, save for they have engines, 4 tires and a steering wheel. This product quite literally saved me hundreds. It told me I had a broken oil thermostat. When the shop tried to tell me I had an exhaust leak, and would cost about 300 to fix, I left and sought out another mechanic. Thank you.

I ordered this as soon as the check engine light came one in my Tundra. It arrived, I ripped it right out the packaging and put it to use. It identified that I needed to replace a secondary air check valve. I hopped over to youtube, found a demonstration video, ordered the part and had my truck fixed and check engine light removed for under $200. Forums online told me the dealer would cost at least 2K since they didn't consider it as something they could warranty. Would def recommend.

Got this scanner, plugged it in and got my codes. Cleared the codes easily. Very user friendly! I keep it in my purse now.
