I used it twice (same trip - one measure going and one measure coming) and the second time using it, it said battery low/dead .. or some variation. Very disappointing that after only using it for less than a minute twice already killed the battery.Otherwise- it's easy to use and very helpful having peace of mind that there won't be any surprises at the weight scale when checking bags. Maybe invest a little more $$ to get one that will last longer.

I like sleek, I like functional, and also when I travel I want to go economically. I carry books and lots of them. Not everything I have is on Kindle and when I’m working with some books they are hard copy. When I go on vacation, I want to read them and they come right along with me. Naturally, I end up buying some and then I have my luggage dilemma.I’m the person who shows up at the weigh-in fully packed and very close to the limit or slightly over. My last weigh-in I hit 51 pounds and had to do some quick juggling, something that’s not always appreciated by those in back of me. In fact, if you want to get a few angry glares, show up a few pounds overweight. The scramble begins to shift some items to the carryon.The “Rely on Us” luggage scale is exactly what I need, even though I do know when I’m hitting the upper limits weight-wise. You’ll need to pull the plastic tab that keeps the battery from wearing down. The battery is a simple button cell (Cr2032) that is easily replaced. I was able to toggle the digital display to pounds vs. kilograms. A simple tap of a button and the display briefly reads 888 and then goes to whichever display you have selected. Either kg or lb is displayed in the lower right-hand corner. The scale is ergonomically designed with a slight curve and fits nicely in my hand. The hardware is sturdy metal and the 1” nylon strapping very solid.I was easily able to slip the strapping up under my luggage and clip back the flat hook over the stainless tri ring. Make sure your digital display is on (tap first) before weighing. The “Rely on Us” scale does have a convenient tare function that will come in handy if you are weighing other items, not just luggage. I tried weighing several items on one scale and then using this one, all highly accurate. I love this scale and if I’m carrying those books, it’s definitely worth tossing in my luggage.Sample provided for review.
