As with all unique gadgets, you have to experiment for yourself to see what works best. I tried several different size Diet Coke bottles. The 16.9 ounce ones need refilling to soon. The 2 liters are too heavy and won't stay attached to the device. The one liter Diet Coke plastic bootles are perfect! They seem to be loose if you leave on the ring so I took one off and there was too much of a vacuum so the water only trickled out. The perfect combination is to use the one liter bottle and leave the ring on the bottle. This way there is a slight air leak going in so you have a good heavy flow of water coming out. I drink a lot of Diet Coke so have a lot of empties. I line up my water filled bottles ands just move the waterer to each one as they empty. This method is very fast, saves water and keeps me from getting wet. Overall, I love this gadget. It would be better if it was longer but it works fine for what I need it to do.

This item has made my plant watering life so much easier! I have six hanging ferns on my screened porch I now don't need to have my husband or son take down every time I need to water them. It is a simple design and the plastic is very sturdy and well built (you can tell it will last a very long time) and the description is correct - it works well with standard seltzer or water bottles. I would readily give this item five stars, only I do wish it was a few inches longer (or had adjustable lengths) as I am only 5'2" tall and I need to stand on a short stool on tippy toes to use this correctly. Still, far easier than taking the plants down each time!

Simple but effective solution for watering hard-to-reach plants. My exterior window boxes are mounted about a foot or so above my head. This is a simple solution that keeps the plants watered, without having to install an external water line or move furniture about inside every time. An empty 1 ltr seltzer bottle works great.

Works as demonstrated, however the wand is short, the water flows as almost a trickle. I was looking for something that would save my arthritic shoulder, didnt help much.

I am short, so I was looking for something (didn't know what) to water my plants without have to use a ladder. This is very simple but do the job. My only complaint would be that I have to unscrew the bottle every time I need to fill it, I wish it had something like a clap closure. But nevertheless this is great.

Wanted to water indoor plants on shelves out of my reach. Water in bottle only trickled out . Very unwieldy , hard to hold in place. Ended up with water all over shelf and floor. Wasn’t expensive but wasn’t worth cost!

I have to add vinegar periodically to my ceiling mounted HVAC pan to keep mold from forming. With this handy device, I just reach up and do it without needing to get a step ladder. Very handy and easy to use!

Works well but not for use with a liter bottle. To heavy.
