Bought this when we were remodeling the kitchen. Similar hoods were about twice the price from our local appliance store. This is a rugged unit, and is very powerful. I was worried that it would impede my view but the curved glass opens everything up and is not at all obstructive. It's noisy at full power but not annoying. The LED light make a nice night light for the kitchen. I had 2 carpenters install it. Not sure it's a DIY project unless you're strong and skilled and patient. I would recommend this unit.

Packaging was great, unit was very well secured so no damage in shipping! Took 2 men, 2 boys and the wife to get it in place. Only comment would be read the installation directions carefully and then follow them. It really is beautiful!!

Quiet and powerful.

High quality, extremely happy....

1. Was it really that expensive to have a native English-speaker proof the language in the instruction booklet?2. Was it too expensive or just beyond your company's capabilities to actually have someone assemble and install the hood using your instruction booklet to proof it? I ask, because I found a lot of issues.3. The piece of sheet metal where the duct connects to the range hood was bent so badly that I had to remove it and straighten it before installation to prevent air leaks.4. Little things ---The canopy glass mounting screws and rubber gaskets are crooked on one side because the holes are off kilter. So, the screws are sitting at a little bit of an angle. The glass has a few little scratches in it. The end of one of the glass corners looks like it has a chip in it. Both "XtremeAIR" logos on the front and back panels are scratched and pitted.5. BIG thing -- the lights are TOO DIM for cooking!!! The hood with all the lights on makes a shadow on the stove under my normal kitchen lighting! What made you think that four 2W LED bulbs or about 480 lumens total was bright enough to cook with? I hate it and would like to request an upgrade to my power supply to enable me to retrofit at least 10W LED bulbs -- please!!

900 CFM are you kidding me. This crap can't even hold a tissue paper to itself even at highest speed. It more like 20 CFM. What a terrible purchase.
