not "Missouri Meerschaum"
To be clear, this is not up to the standards of the well known and dare I say "loved" Missouri Meerschaum, who have a great line of corncob pipes in many shapes. I have owned several corncobs from them, and I could tell right away that this was not from the same company. This pipe's bowl was a lot rougher than the general store bought corncob. It feels like someone plucked out the grains and then dried the stalk instead of cutting them off and laying a finish over it.The black mouthpiece is much softer than usual, bending and collapsing with little pressure. Fortunately this allowed me to bend it back open without too much effort.Overall the pipe is a lot lighter, and not as comfortable in the mouth or hand. But considering that it was dirt cheap, I'm not dissatisfied.
