Large Boba glass straws are great for Smoothies. This is what I wanted them for. They are easy to clean with running water and the enclosed straw cleaning brush. I will probably purchase the regular size ALINK glass straw for canned drinks and thermal drink containers because Large Boba straws are too big for those openings. I have been on a liquid diet for a week following oral surgery and have used Boba glass straws daily with no problems. I can't speak or durability or sturdiness cause it is glass but look it up for yourself -- it might not break as easily as glass due to plexiglass reinforcement. I am careful and have not dropped mine. I simple carrying case would be ideal. I am wrapping mine in cotton napkin when I am out and about. Take yours to the restaurant and feel good that you are not using plastic or paper straws. Take care of our Planet!!

These straws are durable, smooth and easy to clean. They are of a wider width and so a thicker liquid can go through easily. I've purchased these before and will purchase more in the future. They are glass so I broke one when I dropped it on the tile floor. These straws are very polished and smooth on the edges. Love them.

These two glass straws were exactly as described, if not better than expected. The edges are very nicely rounded off and smooth and the straw walls are slightly thicker than I was expecting. It seems very sturdy; well, as sturdy as a a glass straw could be! I believe you would have to give it a fairly hard knock against something to break it. I do a lot of superfood smoothies and I've tried several different metal straws before and this one has been the best I've tried yet for my smoothies. It is larger in diameter than any of my metal ones and chunky ingredients flow up the straw with no problems so far. I'm very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys preparing fresh fruit and veggie smoothies or juices at home.

These straws were GREAT! Bought them specifically to drink bubble tea and they were a great compliment to the metal straws I currently own. At the beginning it felt a little weird to drink out of a glass straw as the overall look, size and material made it feel like I was drinking from a hollow test tube. When I was able to use it for the main purpose of drinking bubble tea, I was really surprised at how good the glass straw manages to fit the bubbles and 'transport' bubbles smoothly. It definitely felt like I was using a regular, disposable straw. I highly recommend this product! Try a glass straw instead of a metal one, especially for those of you who may not like the steel-y/metallic aftertaste that some straws have.2019/03/12 update: My glass straw rolled off a 3' high table a few days ago and I feared for the worst. THANK GOODNESS - IT LIVED! Not a scratch, chip or crack on the glass. Been using it for multiple trips to the bubble tea store and it works great. Protip: Need a sharp edge to puncture through the bubble tea plastic lid? Cut up your very last plastic bubble tea straw at an angle to create a sharp edge and carry it with your reusable straws. Puncture bubble tea lid with it, and insert glass straw to consume your bubble tea!
