Bon 24-121 3/4-Inch by 4-Inch by 8-Foot Reinforced Aluminum H-Screed with Plastic Cap

I was a bit apprehensive to order this after reading the reviews about how banged up these got in transit and how the end caps were missing.I had no issues with the condition mine came in. The shipping label and stickers were annoying, but they did not affect the performance.After reading negative reviews of two-piece straight edge tools for cutting down sheets of plywood, I bought this item. It is solid, the price is right, and it works perfectly for the task. It is light for the size. I would definitely buy this again.

Nothing to say so far, this metal ruler seems to be a solid choice.

Straight edge for saw clamp and cut for long straight cuts, works for level extention also.

The media could not be loaded. The product is in poor condition, it is dented, scratched, warped and without side covers. And it did not arrive on the date scheduled at the time of purchase. I did not like what arrived, it is not what I purchased.

I bought this 8’ screed 3 years ago (1916) to use as a straight edge for sawing and routing wood. Maybe I got lucky because it is perfectly straight over it’s full 8’ length. There is no bowing from straightness inwards or outwards when a known straight 4’ straight edge is slid along it. Also it’s width varies by less than 0.001” over its entire length. If you bought a spec’d straight edge this good it would cost hundreds of dollars.

Product arrived in decent condition and with both endcaps. However, the product is not the dimensions specified in the description. The product is 1/16th shy of 4" and 1/32nd shy of ¾". Actual dimensions are 8' x 3 15/16" x 23/32".This might not be the biggest issue, but when I'm trusting something to be flat and square, it seems odd to not expect it to be the size it said it was. More than likely someone thought 9 ½" of aluminum flat would make a rectangle 4" x ¾" but they forgot to include the length of the corners.

1 star subtracted for missing parts. Nice screeds. I have another 10-foot version and decided to add an 8-foot one to the collection, but like so many reviewers have stated it arrived with both end caps missing. Super disappointing. The good news is I called their customer support and they got me the replacement parts the same day. Fortunately, I live close to their offices and could swing by to pick them up. Not everyone would have the luxury.

I love this straight edge. Mine came delivered in great condition. I used it to check level across a 200 sq ft area and then also to screed that area as I poured self leveling concrete. This has been the most useful tool in the project at a great price.
