I used the "manual" laser when I play with our kitten and my hand would easily get tired pressing the button. I also hated changing batteries. All my problems were solved when I bought this. It's fully charged in about 1.5hrs and you can use it for weeks. I've charged mine two weeks ago and the little red dot is still very bright.

The light no matter which function it was on is very dim... I go walking and I wanted to use as a distraction tool with my dog but when pointing to the floor you could hardly see it, even pointing close up you could hardly see the red laser... very disappointing... dont waste your money
