I got this as a gift for my cousin. Been obsessed with it since then. Big gamer guy and loves how easily the mouse moves around but in love with the lights around the border. Thick and steady. Great gift option.

Switched to this hard pad and dont think Ill go back to soft
Ive had this pad for about 2 months. Its the 1st hard pad Ive ever purchased for myself. I went with Razer because I needed the FPS increase in game from the RGB on the pad :) Also most hard pads do not come with a built in mouse cable holder. This is what really sold me as I dont have room, nor can I be bothered with having a entire sperate item just to hold my mouse cable in place lol.The pad is very smooth but still allows some decent control. Im using the Deathadder V2 mouse with this pad and, at least in my head lol, I believe it has helped me improve in game by being able to more accurately make micro movements due to the less friction a hard pad provides. Even after 2 months of daily gaming 4+ hours 5-6 days a week, it still feels like the day I bought it which is very nice as I see a lot of people complain about hard pads wearing out quickly. Also, it WILL wear down the feet on your mouse slightly faster but at least so far, no issues. Ill update my review when/if my mouse pads wear down to give an estimated timeframe of how long they last. Its VERY easy to clean! This is the main reason I switched to a hard pad to begin with.It absolutely takes some getting used to if your just switching from a soft to hard pad, but after 2 months Ive gotten pretty used to it. Im still dialing it in though and still have a little ways to go until Im 100% used to it but I believe its an improvement, at least for me.Pros:- Smooth hard surface helps with micro movements/aim- Very easy to keep clean- The mouse cable holder being built onto the pad is a no brainer- The added FPS increase in game from the added RGB on the mouse pad is nice :)Cons:- Takes a couple months to get used to if coming from a soft pad, but the change could be worth it to you depending on your preferences/gameplay style.EDIT: Since this review I have went back to a soft pad. I made this review a little too early. Yes, like clockwork, about every 4-5 months the pad starts to wear out and becomes "scratchy" when moving the mouse. You can feel each little scratch as you go over it in the mouse itself. Also it abaolutely does destroy mouse feet. It grinds them all the way down to the plastic housing of your mouse forcing you to either buy new mouse slides, which never feel as good as the original, or buy a new mouse to get that original feel again. I have bout 2 more of these pads since then. After the 3rd one I decided it wasnt worth the hassle anymore or having to buy feet/mouse and pad every 5 months or so. Also after a couple years of using the hard pad, I have realized it didnt actually make me more accurate. In fact, more times than not it made me less accurate due to having no feeling of control. Sure, you get used to it, but you never develop the muscle memory as well as you do on a soft pad.

It’s a mouse pad. It lights up and the LEDs are bright. No issues.

love it
The mousepad is pretty much the same texture as my desk, and I was already just using the mouse on my bare desk anyway since my cat tends to destroy the other kinds by kneading on them. *But* this has the added bonus of being pretty and syncing with the other RGB components of my setup, so obviously it was a must-have.

Wears down, But overall Great pad (see the circle in the center that's wear and tear)
FORGET soft mousepads, use a hard one for pro-gaming till it wears out. This is a solid mouse-pad for any fps or league of legends enthusiast. They do tend to wear quickly so 4/5 stars. If the material on the surface was a little more robust it would deserve 5 stars. This mousepad makes you quicker and more accurate due to the lack of fibers catching and the friction. Get used to it and it will treat you well

So far so good
Purchased for my son for Christmas. So far, he is pleased with it. He likes the colors and that his mouse moves smoothly over it. Time will tell, but he approves!

Better than a cloth mousepad
I've used a number of mousepads since the age of 3. From the old thick foam-esque mousepads of old, to the newer rubber bottomed cloth ones, each degraded quickly over time to the point of needing replacement. My previous mousepad, one from Mionix, did its job fairly well. However, the cloth was a magnet for hair and dust which proved nearly impossible to remove completely. It was time again for a new mousepad.During my search, I stumbled upon the Razer Firefly. While skimming the product page, I was convinced it was just another cloth mousepad that would inevitably need to be replaced, albeit for triple the price I would normally pay. I also wasn't too thrilled by the LEDs around the edges, and nearly passed it up. However, reading a few reviews I discovered that the "hard" version was actually that: a hard mousepad, made out of plastic and rubber. I've used a few plastic mousepads in my time, and not one of them functioned as a surface for a mouse. Tracking issues out the wazoo, an overly slippery surface, and hard edges are the first thing that come to mind. However, impulse buying got the best of me and I ended up grabbing one. This mousepad is legitimately comfortable, to the point that I almost don't even need my wrist rest. It's a bit larger than I thought it would be, and hangs off the edges of the platform I use my mouse on. This is irrelevant however, because the harder material is almost like its own little tabletop. The only give it has comes when you apply unrealistic force, and chances are you would never even notice it in the middle of a game as it doesn't even affect the tracking. The LEDs are actually quite nice, and more subtle than I would have thought considering Razer's previous trends. As for the surface itself, the tracking you get with this mousepad is phenomenal. It's kind of a textured plastic, with the feel comparable to running your fingertips together. With my current mouse, the Razer Basilisk, it's a match made in heaven. There is a bit of a scratchy noise when you move the mouse, almost like running your fingernail across a plastic bottle, that isn't really noticeable unless you listen for it. When you power down your PC, the LEDs fade from your original color (in my case, blue), to purple (may just be me), to off.One of the best.
