Mythic Renaissance Medieval Irish Costume Over Dress & Cream Chemise Set

I'm 5'1 1/2 and a little overweight. The S/M fits almost perfectly. The overcoat only slightly dragged on the ground. I kinda like that it did as it got all dirty and works for the time period! I received numerous compliments on this dress at the Ren Faire. The seller was extremely quick in answering my questions and very polite. She sent it out super fast as well and I received it a few days after ordering. Would recommend and will be back for more.

I'm giving this a 4instead of a 3 because I don't think this deserves a negative review, however I had issues. I really wish companies were more accurate with their measurements. I sew so I know my measurements well, and the 2x - 3x was way too small. I wear an 18 - 20 and 1x to 2x, so I purchased the 2x to 3x as it was the largest size and per the measurements should have fit with a 2 inch gap if I wore it as an underbust (I have DDD's so I knew it wouldn't fit them). Nope. Laced tightly it barely cleared my sides. The chemise fit beautifully, long, flowing, roomy, I thought about keeping it, but the price is a bit steep for a polyester chemise.Which brings me to my second point, polyester. Now, all of my past renaissance costumes were made by me. My schedule is just so busy that I don't have time to make something this year, and I can't begin to imagine where my costumes are in my storage unit, so I decided to buy a costume. Knowing this, it is fair to say I am something of a snob, so I was not thrilled with the fabric. It's advertised as a poly cotton blend. The label shows it's 85% poly, so it is extremely thin. While not to my personal liking, as I attend the fair on the east coast in October, I can see this would be nicer to wear in warm weather than my usual garb. My stuff is heavy, which is why I go in October!I will say that overall, it is a beautiful costume. It's well made and the front is boned which very nicely reinforces the ties and helps the front keep it's shape. The chemise will make you feel like a princess. If you're looking for a light weight costume and are okay with polyester, this is quite nice. Just be aware that the measurements in the description may be a bit off and order it early so you can exchange it if there are fit issues before your event.

I absolutely love this dress!!! I was a little afraid of the size I chose. I'm about 5'1 and where a size 14 so I ordered the L/XL, fully expecting it to be a bit long. It was, but it's nothing that couldn't be fixed. The under dress is a bit big on me, (which might be intentional) but the chemise fits great and I can tighten it to fit me perfectly. I might have been okay with a size smaller, but I'm very happy with my purchase! 10/10 would recommend.

I got this for Ren Faire and it worked great! I ordered a 2X/3X based off of reviews but I think I would have been fine with a L/XL. I typically wear a size 16. The dress does adjust with the lacing at the shoulders, back, and front, and I made it as tight as it would go. It did fit well but if I had gone down a size it would have been even better, but I was still very happy with the dress! I am 5' 6" so it was a bit too long so I had to use skirt hoists from the Ren Faire to pick it up on the sides so it didn't drag, otherwise it was about 3-4" too long for me. The material is definitely a synthetic but it is very soft and was extremely comfortable. I would definitely recommend this dress! I ordered the teal and it was much brighter/more vivid in person. It looks more muted in the pic so if you don't want a bright color go with the grey/blue color. Otherwise the color was lovely. I ordered it on Prime 1 day shipping and it arrived on time. Looking forward to wearing it again, and might even order another color in the future, but I might go with their other style with the "cap sleeves" as the long flowy sleeved did get in my way a bit, but I have short arms. I might just tack up the sleeves at the elbow to keep the effect but keep my hands free for mead :)

This dress came in a day before it said it would!! So super fast shipping! The under dress is more white then cream but I wanted it that way anyways and the material is really soft. The over dress fit really well and the martial is well made and soft as well. I can't wait to wear this to the raniasance fair! The length is a little long, I'm 5'6 and I got a L/XL so I might have to wear heels so it doesn't drag and get ruined but that's okay.

Beautiful. The overdress is a little long for me, but it won't take much to fix that (short people problems). The material is very silky and hangs nicely. Boning under the embroidery keeps everything in place for that lovely laced up look. The underdress is the perfect length for me (I'm 5ft 4in), but just a little bit snug in the waist for what I was expecting with a L/XL. It has enough give that it isn't a problem at all though, in fact, I like the shape it gives to the outfit without the bulk of trying to cinch in a bunch of extra fabric. Can be worn on or off the shoulders depending on the look you are going for. Plus, it arrived earlier than expected. I can't wait to wear it!

Absolutely perfect! I wore this the the maryland rennasaince festival and got multiple complements about the dress. I'm 5'6/5'7 and a size 10-12 and this fit great. It's long but that's how it should be for the time period. I would highly recommend it's a great product for a very decent price.
