Very easy to setup, ours runs on solar connected to a 12v ATV battery, good range on the remote, super super easy to setup - maybe 45 minutes?Probably would have taken 15 if I read the directions before I was standing next to the gate LOL!

This was the worse product I have ever purchased through Amazon. The instruction manual was so poorly written that my son, friends & finally a Gate Company could not operate the gate properly. The Gate Company said to send it back because there has to be something wrong with the control box. They said the instructions were so bad that they could not understand them. Trying to get this product to work was expensive & depressing. My advice to Gatexpert is to greatly improve their operating manual.

It could be a good product but it needs the extension cable included and a real user manual. The user manual/installation book is more than useless. It hardly makes sense and is absolutely useless for initial setup. I had to go back and forth trial and error style to figure everything out. The "Easy to set, you just need to press one button on the control board will be ok" is bull! It did not work at all. It would make everything go out of wack. Also since it's a DC motor system motor polarity needs to be clearly marked on the control board. (It's not)I got the gates to open and close properly off the remotes but that's it. I'm afraid to mess with it anymore. I will try to get the auto close feature to work at some point (it's on in the menu) but after working on it all day I'm done for now.

I need more information to install I been having problems opens to fast and sometimes don’t open i need a manual with more information please

Extremely heavy duty, durable, well made gate opening mechanism. I ordered two gate mechanisms for the two gates on my property. I have an iron gate in the front that is extremely heavy and we had this device and the other professionally installed. I was extremely worried about this product when ordering because the reviews aren't great, but I will get to that in a moment.While I do not know the details of the installation issues, I can say that the reason for the star removal is that the handyman did say that the instructions are essentially unusable. Luckily, he has installed a really similar gate product in the past, but he did say that without some prior knowledge of this type of product, he might have struggled to figure it out.However besides the instructions being a little rough, he still got it fully installed and the gate up, plus added lights to the posts in a 3 hour time span. The gate opens and closes smoothly and despite being an immensely heavy 4-500+ lb gate, it doesn't struggle at all. In going back to write my review, I happened to notice that some of the (negative) reviews for this product are not verified, and I sometimes like to take non-verified reviews with a grain of salt. Overall I really don't have any issue with this product and I'm happy with the way it performs on my gate. Recommended.

The instruction is poorly designed. It took me a long time to figure it out. The product is not very easy to deal with. It is a heavy duty one, but not easy to get it work. I wish it could go with a more detailed manual book.

Piece of junk. Took two electricians and still doesn’t work.
