Significantly less effective than the very cheap foam ones
I bought these in the mistaken belief that, as they were so expensive and moulded to your ear, they would be more effective at shutting out noise than the foam ear plugs you can buy about 500 of for the same price. They are not. They are literally useless. I have moulded and remoulded several times and they fit perfectly now, but they literally block zero sound. In fact, they are exactly as effective as just putting a bit of cotton wool in your ears. If you're thinking of buying some, maybe just set fire to £30 and shove your fingers in your ears.

BEST earplugs you’ll find (and I used to work in F1 so have been through a few!)
Wow! So much better than I expected. I used to work in F1 and so have had my fair share of earplugs. These are a different league! And to the reviewers who said they didn’t block out much noise or were hard with sharp edges to put in, you’re not doing it right! It honestly couldn’t be simpler. Just attach the back and your correct size tip, then boil the kettle and pop one of the plugs in the boiled water. After five minutes, the material is really soft and pliable, a bit like plasticine and you just pop it in your ear and then using a mirror reflected against another mirror, push and mould it to your exact ear shape. After leaving it in for five minutes, the material hardens and remains in perfect shape to your ear for easy insertion next time. If done properly (and I don’t know how you can’t do it properly if you follow the instructions) then your find almost all noise is cut out and they fit comfortably and easier than any earplug ever has before! I would thoroughly recommend them (And recommend the reviewers who had difficulties, go back and make sure you are using the correct size tip and remould it again in boiling water for five minutes) Highly recommended.

High Quality and Low Cost
I bought these in anticipation of testing them for in-ear noise reduction. As a clay shooter, I didn't want to go and spend hundreds of pounds on in-ear electronic earplugs if I didn't get on with them having used big and bulky ear cans when shooting. So, I thought for £30, they are worth a punt and if they are OK when fitted and I get on with them, I can get some 'proper' ones - in ear, electronic etc etc.Having bought them, I followed the clear instructions on how to heat, mould and fit etc and was surprised how easy this actually is to get right.I did this solo - no help at all and with a bit of fiddling, found that once cooled, the fit was perfect and comfortable.Off I went to the local clay ground with them in, shot over 100 cartridges on the trap layout (basically five shooters all in close proximity to each other) and was so pleased with the quality and noise reduction that I have never bothered with anything else since. These are the lowest priced models. Good colours, good it once sorted and a range of sizes of in-ear cones with them. I also bought the lanyard which fits safely and securely however found that brushing up against the lanyard transmitted the sounds into the ear so removed it.I will be buying another pair as I worry about losing the pair I have however for the money, the quality and performance is excellent - highly recommended...!

Good, but could be better
I bought these as i use earplugs for sleeping and have tried many different options over the years to help, however decided on custom moulded ones for the comfort and prevent trips to A&E to retrieve lost bits of earplug from my ear canal! Overall they are comfortable enough but are not really suitable for sleeping due to a few minor issues:- The moulded part is easy to mould, however... it is rock hard when cooled and dried. This means that unless you get the right them absolutely spot on, you have uncomfortable bits. It took a few attempts to mould correctly, however they do have a snug fit and stay in place overnight.- because of the hardness of the moulded part, at the bottom edge of where the plug is, the material doesn't mould particularly well, so, as I did, you may find a sharp unrounded edge that digs in to your ear - i ended up filing down with a nail fail as it just would not soften enough to reshape without looking like it would come off the actual inserted plug (because the material here is thin)- they are solid, which is a benefit and a drawback. They are secure and once fitted they fit, but the hardness of the plug and material mean it is not the most comfortable for side sleeping - I had to remould and flatten them out a bit for side sleeping!- the plug insert is silicon, however the part that connects to the pug is hard plastic, so the plug, when laid on your side, is pushed in to your ear further - great for sleeping and noise blocking, but not for comfort.Overall I would recommend if you can get them to fit properly (may take an attempt or two) and they do cancel out most sound - the lighten the sound of my partners snoring and drown out the TV on a low volume so they do the job in this sense - there is very little noise leakage, but again this is reliant on a good moulding first of all because the slightest gap does let a lot of sound through, as with any earplug. I have weird ears in that one canal is lightly bigger then the other so have to adjust them a bit on inserting to get a good seal, also when laying down as the material is inflexible, it does sometimes mean a slight move of the head allows a gap for sound depending on where pressure is placed on the earplug outer.I would recommend them for sleeping, based on doing a good job when fitted, however their comfort could be greatly improved with a more flexible moulding material that flexes instead of staying entirely rigid. Also as mentioned, the material round the plug insert/holder needs rounding off as this stays a sharp corner/edge once moulded but easily solved with a nail file

Great piece of kit
Great piece of kit. For the people who say this set "too early" etc, what's the problem? Clearly the information given in the instructions say you can reheat to remould! You just redo the process which only takes some hot water (like you did last time!)Perfect for snotty toddlers wailing next door to you where you sleep, and you work nights. You're entitled to a good night sleep without interruption :)ps you can hear sounds in the close vacinity like an alarm on your phone so that's not a worry you will not hear, nor is the moulding process messy in any sense.
