Good replacement parts
Good replacement, exact fit for my poulan pro 18in. Chainsaw. Everything fits well just have to be careful with the coiled spring or it will open up. Only thing is the rope it is real thin. May not last that long.

Fixed it! PR4218
Was a little tricky but got it on there. Not the same as the original part but it works. Is probably a better design anyway. The set screw failed on it though. Save your old screw. Had to wind it up manually and fix it again. But giving it 5 stars cause it fixed my problem.

Recoil rope is weak
Fits and works great in my poulan chainsaw, only complaint is the recoil string is very weak, I threw it away and reused tolhe old one

Multiple Quality Issues from the Start (Pun intended)
I've had this starter 2 months - used the chainsaw 8 times and have had to open and fix this part 6 of the eight times. The flat spring straightened out once (a real pain to fix), the pull string provided came undone several times because the retaining screw does not tighten down enough and now, today, it's other spring somehow disintegrated (see photo) such that it sticks on the pull and doesn't release from being engaged with the motor.Very disappointed and now I have a half dozen 40' aspen laying in the back yard and no way to chop them up.

Spring broke almost immediately. Plastic parts seem sturdy
I purchased this because the OEM pulley on my saw broke...seemed like a good deal to get new springs and a pull rope. The spring broke very quickly...within 4-5 pulls. Plastic parts seem to be well made but only time will tell.
