My 7 year old daughter just started piano lessons. She's at that age where she'll start something and might not finish it so I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on a keyboard. This keyboard is a perfect starter keyboard and the microphone that comes with it is an added bonus. I would definitely recommend it for someone who has just started to learn to play.

I decided to buy this because my daughter wanted to play the piano. Of course this won’t beat a real piano but it is a great step forward in teaching her how to play. There are lots of settings on the piano that I can adjust and some of them can even adjust the noise into other instruments such as strings. The piano makes the correct notes and is pretty light. I’m order to start the piano, you can use batteries or you can plug it into an outlet. A nice bonus is the microphone but expect it to be the best. This is piano is mostly just for fun and learning but it is a great deal for a great price.

Piano tone was set incorrectly. The whole keyboard is shifted down a half step, therefore giving inckrrecting fingerings when you're playing.

I'm sorry but this is not a $45 keyboard. The item arrived and it was a gift but I was embarrassed by the quality of this item. I mean EVERYTHING about the item is bad.The keyboard weighs about a pound, and is made of cheap plastic. (See picture of how I can hold this with 3 fingers easily)The entire thing bends easily.The speakers sound so bad, and there's no real piano sound whatsoever.The connection to power the piano is very low quality, and even the cable is bad. (See pics)The microphone was expected to be bad, but this was a joke.Please don't bother buying this unless it's under $20.

It takes time to figure out all the features it has. That is why it is engaging. Please watch a video to hear the audio quality. Microphone works fine. Kids can imitate singers and record their vocals. Another good thing is that it can be attached to your laptop with USB cable which is safe for kids. Overall made a good gift for a kid.

So a few weeks ago I bought this in hopes I could have an electric keyboard to practice piano for my college piano class. I'm a music major and I have to play pieces that requires playing multiple keys at the same time. (Ex: America the Beautiful, Ode to Joy, When the Saints Go Marching In) and yes it can play multiple key, but there was a weird glitch where when I would add about 4 keys and one of those keys was an octave or more, it would make this ear piercing screech that wasn't the note(s) I played.That's one issue, but the biggest issue for me was it's not in the correct key, it's a whole step off. When I play the Ab key, it sounds like Bb. For me I could probably work around that since I will have to be transposing for my instrument anyways and it could be good practice for me (I play French Horn) however this is supposed to be a beginner's piano and a piano for children, so if they associate Ab with the sound if concert Bb, they won't learn how to play piano properly. I also looked at the instructions multiple times and played with the weird buttons on the piano and couldn't figure out how to change they key, if that was even possible.The keys are really small, like I would say they're half an inch wide and maybe 3 inches long which is about half the size of an actual piano which again, it's a beginner's piano for children so that's explainable, but still not accurate.The sound of the piano sounds very cheap and it would hurt my ears after a while, the demo songs weren't bad sounding, but that I would say was the most entertaining part of it. The different instrument modes just sounded weird, not sure if they changed the key when you would switch the instrument (not all instruments play in the same key) but it made the piano sound all the more annoying.Lastly, I was under the impression that it came with a piano stand, like it would have a stand to hold the piano, not a cheap plastic music stand that comes off easily. Now my assumption was my fault for assuming, but the "music stand" is a cheap thin piece of plastic that if you barely more the piano or touch it, it will fall off and I doubt it could hold a small piano book, maybe 2 pages of music without it falling. And mentioning quality, I didn't use the microphone, nor did I record, but the microphone felt and looked very cheap, so that aspect isn't worth it, just buy an actual microphone for like $50, they exist.Overall, I guess it could work for like maybe the first month or so for a beginner if they were trying to learn. If you just want your kid to feel like they can play music, there's other cheaper crummier pianos than this and you'd basically get the same product for $10-20 cheaper. This is not good for actual learning because you have to play different keys to make the notes sound what they're supposed to. If you want a good electric piano, the ones we use in class are made by Yamaha, they're probably about $300, but that's still cheaper than an actual piano. But for real learning in my opinion, it's better to have a real piano for a child to learn to play on, real pianos also have petals which are important for more advanced piano music.That's why I'm giving it a 1 star, might have given it an extra .5 or .25 just because it's for beginners and not professionals or slightly more advanced than beginners.

My kiddo loves it and has chosen to learn to play his new keyboard over playing video games! We've found some great YouTube piano lessons/tutorials and the music book that we bought from the "frequently bought together" section includes familiar children's songs and it is easy to follow. Only downside is the "Frequently bought together" piano stickers that are suggested do not fit the smaller keys on this keyboard; we trimmed them down to fit, but it cut off the flat and sharp chords. I ended up ordering another set of stickers that will (hopefully) be small enough to fit the keys.

We tried this keyboard for my daughters. They are beginning piano students so we thought this was a good affordable starter keyboard. It. Did. Not. Work. The keys would not press down, and sound would not come out when you touched the keys. The only thing that worked was the microphone. I had to return it.
