Works well as long as set up correctly
This item seems to work well I have just received and set up quickly without difficulty. Given the negative reviews I think there are some areas which could cause problems for people who are less familiar with these types of product. Also the instructions are brief and could be better written. There are two plugs which appear identical but are actually marked TX and RX.The RD must go into the the transmitter or in plain English out and RD into the Receiver or in. You must also be sure that the Ethernet cable you are using is a cat 5e or cat6 not just the old cat5 which is still about. I used a cat6 cable. When connected to for a test it wrecked successfully in a setup where the devices were connected to a receiver with 1metre HDMI 5m HDMI to 1 x 4 splitter and then a 15 metre connection to a HD projector. I will now be able to move the splitter box closer to the Receiver and TV shortening overall cable run and amount of cable.

What the hell....???
Tried these on my in-house lan network from a cat 6 patch panel up stairs, using new cat 6 patch cables. The connectors were used from a Virgin TiVo to a new 4K tv (approx total cable length including patch cables 4.8 m) and no signal received...Tried them again by not using my in-house cat6 network, by putting the tv right next to the TiVo box, and connected them direct with one of the new 1.5m patch cables with these converter on the correct receiver/transmitter end (in other words, made a 1.5 meter HDMI cable with these on the end ) and again no signal...Used a 1.5 meter HDMI cable and works perfectly....!!!I also done this but with an older 1080p tv and still nothing......These are either totally useless bits of plastic or they just do not work from a Virgin TiVo box...????Watched a dozen tutorials, and these are supposed to work with any hdmi signal...???Would love to here from the supplier...I can send a video Demonstrating that they do not work even as a very short HDMI cable(with cat 6 between), against a real HDMI cable that does work totally fine....if you don’t see a plausible reason below from the supplier I suggest you avoid these like the plague and don’t waste your time....

These just don't work
Sent these to a client & was embarrassed to hear I had wasted their valuable time. Ended up costing me a lot more money as I had to buy in a more expensive item & ship it to my client. These just don't work... 1x. star is too much as no option for "no stars"

Didn't work at all
Complete failure. Didn't work with my cat6 cable. Just got garbled sound and no picture at all. Not worth the money. It's getting sent back for a refund.
