The telescopes are slightly problematic, in the sense that one of them barely installed, and I highly doubt it will have a long life. But you get what you pay for and this product is the essence of this saying.I do not recommend it, if you are looking for a long life, high quality item.

These struts look and work great on my 2022 RAV4 XSE Hybrid. After reading the reviews, I was concerned about issues with the installation so I took it slowly and triple checked the fit of everything. There are no instructions with the product. If you are in doubt about installing, I recommend having the struts installed by someone who is mechanically inclined since it is possible to misalign the hood if these struts are installed wrong. Take your time and check/re-check for restrictions while closing the hood slowly. I put multipurpose synthetic grease in the ball joints of the struts to reduce metal wear and squeaks. Tip: install the struts in the correct direction; that is, look at the seller's pictures showing the fat part of strut on top. Be careful not to drop the clip springs while working over the engine. I put the strut assemblies together away from the engine compartment before installing them using the bolts. I used a 12mm socket with 8" flexible extension and ratchet, and an 12mm open end wrench. Good luck.

Great product for the price! Make sure you're careful during installation - the lower part of the hinge is in a weird spot, I used an angled socket to get in there. Almost lost the bolt so be careful! That's not this products fault though - overall a nice upgrade!

Make you a favor, assembly before the installation. You will need a long extension, a long extension 6 inch approx and universal union to make it easy. I installed it in 15 minutes. Nice upgrade, works perfect. See the pictures in the reviews, there are not instructions included.

Edit - Adding this to the beg. after looking at a rav4 prime under the hood and my hybrid it looks like toyota made a switch and now I have the same piece of plastic along the windshield as the prime, so at least for 2023 (or late 2023 soon to be 2024) hybrid limited models these struts won't work.Not sure if this is a change for 2023 or what but on mine the plastic that meets the windshield is formed differently than shown in the sellers pictures. Even if I removed the piece of soft rubber that is covering the nut there wouldn't be enough room for the struts to lay flat when the hood is closed because the plastic would be in the way. Seems like a nice product it just doesn't fit the 2023 hybrids or specifically not the 2023 hybrid limited. It could also be a change made for 2024's that they just put in my car since it has an august production date and the '24s should be out soon.

The media could not be loaded.  Same brand as my side view mirror signal lights which worked out well so I took a chance on this despite mixed reviews. Always wonders why manufactures don’t have struts like this as standard equipment. Relatively easy to install even tho I did not have a ratchet extender. Still managed to get it installed. Would recommend

So I have bought this product a week or two ago and when I try to install it, one of the ball joint for the hydraulic arm was too big, so the arm won't stay in the joint. (the other side works)So I just start the refund process, and within a week, I got one eamil tell me they know what is wrong, ask my car model, and ask me to take pictures to proof I did everything correct.I didn't reply because I am busy, and within 24 hours I got 2 additional e mail asking me to provide proof that is not me installing the product incorretly. I found it extremely unpleasant to have to be push for anwer where it was a QC issue not installation issue.

Works as described. Would give it 5 stars if they were not too lazy to provide instructions. Sure you can find videos of how to install these on YouTube.... But why do I have to do that?
