Q: What is the variance in the surface and parallel? What tolerances was this manufactured to?

When I used my digital calipers and took various measurements I saw between 0.001-0.0005 variation in thickness. I didn’t check for parallel. It has worked really well and repeatability is not an issue for me.

Q: What are the dimensions of block?

The outer dimensions of the block are about 2.4" x 2.4" x 1" (60mm x 60mm x 25mm).

Q: will this work with the x-carve

From a purely hardware perspective, yes this will work with an X-carve. However if you are using Easel for your control software this block does not have the same dimensions as the invetables Z-Probe kit, so it won't work with the probing routine built into easel. If you are using some other software, like UGS, then this block could be used along with creating a custom probing routine. (G38.2)

Q: I know the millright mega v cnc is very new any information about this will work with that unit?

I don't know. However, what may help you is that there is a 3 pin connector on this. 1 pin for power, 1 for ground and 1 for the sense. These probes are VERY simple in that, when plugged in, the software looks for a low (ground) on the probe sense pin(on the controller board) when the routing bit touches the metal (grounded) case. If you can find out if the Mega V probe sensor works this way, this *should* work. Your mileage may vary , however.
