Yankee Candle Classic Small Jar, Wax, Dried Lavender & Oak, Candle

Love this candle! It has a good, strong Christmas tree scent - lots of resinous pine - with a hint of cranberry zing. I like this, I think it manages to include pine scent without straying into air freshener territory. The green colour is a pleasant medium shade that goes nicely with my red, green and gold Christmas decorations and contrasts with the darker green of the Perfect Tree candle. This candle scent has been discontinued in 2018.The brand don't put information about candle care on their jar candles, which is a shame - as keeping the wick trimmed, burning until the wax has pooled right the way across, and blowing the candle out after 4 hours of burn time all help to prevent tunnelling in the wax.

I buy this aromatic jar continually as in memory of my late, dear wife, and because it now appears to have been deletedfrom Yankee Candle's regular year-round stock, it is only at special times of the year, as at this Christmas, that I canpurchase several jars to keep me going , Please keep large 'Mandarin Cranberry' going!.

Every Christmas my husband lets me buy a Yankee Candle and although we normally buy these from a local shop, there was an offer on this one and I liked the sound of it so we decided to give it a try. I was addicted pretty quickly! It lasted a good couple of months, despite being burned most days for a couple of hours at least at a time. The whole downstairs would smell beautifully of the Christmassy, sweet, cinnamon-y deliciousness that just makes you feel all cosy and snuggly in the winter. The perfect way to create a cosy feeling at Christmas!

I bought this to use in conjunction with various ‘Lush’ lavender based products as I love lavender scents as I sleep. The combination of lavender & oak is delicious. So good, in fact, I’ve bought another to gift away for Xmas!

Yankee Candles provide good value in their mid market position, with attractive lidded jars and pleasant fragrances, although I would urge doing some in-store sniffing before purchase where possible to check the smell is to your taste.For best burning experience, keep the wick trimmed to no more than 3mm and use a candle snuffer to extinguish as that helps prevent the wax going everywhere.This is an attractively scented candle, perfect for dinner table, lounge, bedroom and as a secret Santa/stocking. The lid helps keep the dust off between burnings although this one smells so nice it is unlikely to get a chance to accumulate dust in this house.

I've been buying Yankees candles for about 8/9 years,and I love them for myself and as gifts for other people.But I've noticed the last year or so,the quality of the fragrance isn't as good as it used to be, especially with the car jars,but i treated myself to this cabdle as at Christmas and i have to say,this smell/fragrance is really nice..I've got it in my kitchen,and it smells amazing and my kitchen isn't small,and u can smell it as soon as u enter the kitchen and lounge with one large candle,so it has restored my faith in yankee candles again.I would like to try the spiced orange as a car jar,but for some reason,I'm always disappointed with the car jars,so I've stopped buying them.

Lovely smell although not as strong as I would have liked. When they were exhausted I thought it a shame to waste the melted wax so remove the wick and metal plate and use the wax in a wax burner, now using it in that seems to magnify the smell, so two for the price of one so to speak :o)

Yankee Candles have long lasting fragrances for the most part and this one is no exception. It is a lovely fragrance and burns evenly. The problem that I find with Yankee Candles in a jar is that they never burn down to the very end. There is always about 3/4 inch wasted at the bottom of the jar. The manufacturer needs to do some re-designing and improve on this. My friends have the same problem with this brand.
