Not worth the price
I bought this back in 2019 and I haven't used it nearly as much as I would like mainly because it sheds so much. Like simply moving it too much will cause it to shed. And definitely while combing and braiding. The texture definitely feels synthetic even though it claims to be human hair but my head does have some gray hairs so maybe it really is human and feels fake because they did something to make it more textured like black/African hair. The fact that it is textured is what I like. Makes it easier to grip than straight hair. I don't remember mine coming with a stand either. I feel like that's some new change since I originally ordered it but going off the picture it looks like the brown has the stand and the black doesn't. I don't remember brown being an option when I first ordered it either. It's also a smaller head which makes it hard to work on in your lap since mind had no stand. All in all it's not a bad cheap practice head for just starting out but the price needs to match. This is a $19.99 practice head ay most def not $25.99.

The product is worth the money and is a good practice doll head.
I got this doll head for my 16 yr old daughter. It came with a stand to grip on to a table to hold in place, the quality of the doll itself was good, the doll size is decent doesn't look like a child toy and the hair is pretty long and full so you can do any hairstyle. The hair is human hair I can tell bc it has a few greys and it doesnt get tangled up like synthetic hair tends to do especially when you're combing it too much. The only downside is that it does shed a little, you will see the hair on your lap or work area however it isnt so significant that it will change the fullness of the doll head..I mean atleast this hasn't been the case for us yet..she has had the doll for about 2 wks now. She washed the hair and it remained in tacked..she blowed the hair out and it did well with the heat..I wld jus suggest not to use heat too high..but that's my way of taking better care of the product..I did notice the hair got thicker when my daughter washed it..which was better for her since she was using it to learn how to do corn rows and feed in braids. It does the job, I wld recommend it for those who are learning and want a reasonably priced doll head.

The hair is cool, but this isn’t an African American
The hair is very soft and and doable. Just what I needed to practice feed in braids and knotless braids. The grey color is not too great tho as a representation of black people but I’ve gone numb to this world understanding anything beyond their own sphere. Not sure why the makers went with gray paint instead of brown. Fix the coloring and it would be a stand out product.

Mannequin for Afro American
The hair is soft not unmanageable. My only issue is that it wasn't as full as it looked. But seems to work for training purposes. I just would've liked to have more fullness and not so thin in scalp area for parting purposes. That is my personal preference.

The hair is thick but, was not expecting the head to be so small.
I like that you can part the hair anywhere what I did not like was the head was so small.

She's Scarier Looking in Real Life
Her face is scary, point blank period. Don't leave her out or she will scare everyone in your home, has happened to me many time. I keep her hidden until I need to use her, my other mannequin heads look way better. Crazy how that matters but it does. The hair is long, not too many strings. Definitely kinky straight and doesn't shed too much after washing. For what I need it for which is practicing she gets the job done, just don't look at her face.

Great for practice!
Amazing practice doll head. Great for teaching and practice. Hair wasn’t too rough or too soft definitely feels like blow dried 4c hair which is perfect for learning how to braid !
