Q: How loud is this toy? Does it make noise when it's not being played with?

I find the combination of the sounds this toy makes from its cheap speaker and its volume level incredibly annoying. There is no volume control. It does not make noise when it's not being played with. But a small piece of gaffer tape over the speaker helped mute the sound and make the volume level more manageable.

Q: Is this basically the same toy as Scamper and Sneaker?

The toys all work the same way. The only difference are their themes.

Q: How many critters should I buy? I have 3 girls, ages 5,3, and 3. Is this something they could work on together or happily take turns with?

At the school where my grandson goes they have one and they watch and learn one at a time, so they take turns.

Q: Is this coding critters or botley better for a 5 year old? does anyone have both?
