Feather Quilting Template (Blue)

First, this tool has 3 sizes of feathers on it which makes it a good investment. When I began to use it, I realized how handy it is to have all 3 sizes in my hand on a single ruler. It is large enough to be able to hold comfortably and the feathers are just right. I experimented with it first and realized how easy it was going to be to get good feathers then applied it to the corners of a quilt. This has quickly become one of my favorite rulers.

Nice little ruler for beginning quilters who want to learn feathers. I bought this because I had trouble getting the teardrop shape doing it freehand. I used this ruler in a quilt and I thought it turned out pretty good. I've also used it to chalk out the design to stitch over an outline and actually prefer this method. Be sure to watch the designer's video on how to use it.

Still trying to understand how to use this template. I do like the blue color since it stands out from other templates that I have. Will have to keep practicing on how to use the different size feathers.

Works great for machine-quilting mid-sized feathers (three choices) with my ruler foot; but I found it helpful to put non-slip tape on the ruler keep it in place while stitching. Also good as a template for drafting designs to transfer to fabric.

I can't say if it is easy to use. I haven't learned to use it yet but, I guess that is the answer. It is not easy to use. I tried it and I decided that I would put it down and go back to it at another time.

I recently discovered that I could do quilting with rulers or templates. I have been studying up on what I need and how to do it. I have not actually progressed to the actual free motion quilting, yet. This feather template looked like something that would come in handy for my kit. I believe, once I figure out what I am doing, this will work great.

I've always wanted to try feathers, but was intimidated. I saw this template, watched the video and couldn't believe how well my feathers looked on my very first try! Would highly recommend.

I liked it, larger and easy to manipulate when quilting.
