My samsung fridge was having major problems with the ice maker. I had previously replaced it, but t he new one wasnt any better. Little to no ice being made. Common problem with Samsung..... I was about to buy another refridgerator, when I thought I'd look one more time and ice makers. This was the same product model, but had a different part number, so gave it a try. Wow....I actually have ICE like it should have worked to begin with. If your having issues like mine, give this a shot.

1. Arrived late.2.Doesn't match OEM specs:2a: Electrical cord to short. Will fit, but you can not put the cord cover back on flush.2b. Biggest complaint; the slots that hold it at the top do NOT lock in place. When I tried to remove the ice bucket, it caused the ice maker to also come off and jammed removing the ice bucket. Tried several times to remedy this and it was a no-go.Sent the thing back. Spend a few extra dollars and get a real OEM replacement.

The good:This ice maker has been working great. This aftermarket unit has a foam seal at the air inlet from the fridge, wherein the OEM Samsung unit did not. In theory, this unit should cycle faster than the original as more cold air will pass over the ice tray.The bad:The electric harness connector did not align perfectly with the mating connector on the fridge and it some persuasion and patience to make the connection. The ice maker took a little force to lock in place, because of the addition of the foam seal.

Took 24 hours but makes ice like a charm.

It was easy to install and got right to work. I had to pry open the plastic to create a bit more space between the plugs to mimic the original more closely - 2 minutes with my pocket knife gently creating another millimeter or so of space.

Very simple to install and get working!

Bolts and plugs right in! Works great!

Easy to install. Worked as advertised. Installed four weeks ago and still working.
