Absolute nightmare to prevent leaks. I invested in multiple types of filter systems and ended up with 26 connections, including push to connect, crimp and other screw ins. Every single one worked perfectly except both sides of this one. Tried teflon tape, pipe dope, different tightening levels etc.!! Finally seem to have it stopped by using double sided pond liner tape as thread tape, a gasket at each end - held in place with gasket clamps. Unbelievable mess and effort just to make a proper seal. I was determined but save yourself a huge headache and find a company with proper connection fittings.
