This item is very easy to use, It makes baking very easy when it comes to layered cakes.

I work in a bakery and bought this hoping to ease my life a bit with cutting my cakes in bulk evenly and this product definitely delivered great results. Would recommend anytime!

This worked out perfectly for my larger cakes that I need to cut and cut evenly. You can use this on small and large size cakes. And change the height you like to cut. Great tool for a great price

Don't let the size of these guys fool you! They work with any serrated knife and produce fantastic results, Nice level cake layers!! So easy to use too. Results are much better than some of the other options out there with less hassle.

I thought perhaps these little knife guides would make cutting layers in my cakes easier but it didn’t work for me. I used a 12” serrated knife and followed the instructions but it wasn’t easier. Maybe it’s operator error but I went back to my Martha Stewart instructions using tooth picks. That works well for me.

UPDATE: After about 3 uses, one of them broke. I took it out of the box to use it and i the spring shot it across the counter. Upon inspection, I saw that the locking piece broke. I'm devastated because it worked SO well!!!Love love LOVE this! My knife is a tad too short for it to work flawlessly, but that's on me, not them. I highly recommend these! Gonna go buy a longer knife and cut ALL the layers... EVENLY!!!

Worked well

I use this to slice off cake tops. Use at least a 10" knife to attach to and then it's easier to use. It was either this or buy a wired cake slicer but too many of those had bad reviews where the wire popped off. I like that it's adjustable so I can choose how much to cut off. Make sure your cutting surface is flat. With cakes, it's easier for me to cut the cake top off in a circle or on four sides instead of just straight through in one direction. You don't want to cut too hard and pull the knife toward your finger and cut yourself (which I did).

Only problem with this is getting a knife large enough to do large cakes. I do not understand why Amazon need to see proof a date of birth for a bread knife. Do bought alternative cutter & will have to use this for smaller cakes only

Before buying make sure that you have the correct knife to cute a cake ! This level slice made cutting cakes so much easier and has solved the problem of uneven and messy slices when I try to split the cake in 2 layers.I just have to plug it to the edge of my knife and it helps to cuts perfect straight slices, which makes my cakes look great.

For the larger cakes, the clips kept sliding off and moving and unclipping so it made it hard to cut the cake

I haven't used the turntable as of yet, but it is a really heavy product. I'm not worried about using it.
