One big advertisement
I subscribed to Bicycling magazine in the late 80's and early 90's. I was younger and just getting into racing. The magazine always had tips on riding, nutrition and cycling in general. It was much lighter on the buying guides that pervade the current magazine. In fact, each issue has several "must have" items according to in-house staff. How utterly disappointing to see more ads than actual content on how to be a better cyclist. I have read three issues so far and am extremely disappointed. I already know I won't be renewing my subscription.

overly advertisment focused ,better to pick a genrr specific mag
Just a bunch of advertising ...basically not even intersting to read since it seems to focus on what products each contributer or editor uses...the magazine is so watered down with different genre of bicycles that it doesnt really fit anyone..like the saying, jack of all trades but master of none...so pretty much there is only one segment of the magazine that most riders would enjoy.. actually mountain bikers can get a dedicated magazine, road bikers the same, as well as gravel bikers and Ebikes and beach cruisers so why have this magazine that only gives you a few pages of each genre,.., unfortunately in an attempt to cover all bases they end up not having enough for each group to keep it intersting...Over all i have become very unsatisfied with the E-magazine and have decided to cancel my subscription.

Another good magazine gone bad
Bicycling used to be a decent read but a few years ago it became just another magazine on the shelf. I did the digital subscription only because the price was just a few cents above a giveaway price and occasionally there is a good article or an ad for a new product I'm interested in.

Worthless!
This was a very good magazine several editors ago with lots of interesting articles, how-to tips, fiction, humor, reviews, and diet and exercise pointers. Now I pick it up, leaf through it once, and then throw it away in disgust without finding anything to interest me. The magazine has changed, not my passion for cycling. I really don't understand why it gets so many positive reviews. I've watched it's demise, hoping that it would improve, but I won't be renewing, which is unfortunate after having been a loyal subscriber for well over a decade.

It's always got a few good equipment reviews and 1 or 2 good stories about how bicycling changed someone's life. If you're looking for real technical information on training or diet there are plenty of places to look online; this is a fun, easy read. The font is too small or something though and they put it on multi-colored backgrounds or knocked out on a real dark background so I find a lot of it isn't so easy to read.

Avid rider, like the stories and product reviews
I've ridden a bike since I was 5 but got serious after college when I spent about three weeks salary on a bike. The years are adding up so the long rides are great memories like my first "Hotter' N Hell 100" in Wichita Falls, TX. I can honestly say the years spent on a bicycle have given me the health I now enjoy. I still ride, I still love everything about it. And, this magazine is something I love to receive.

Bicycling is constantly made fun of, but still the champ!
The scrolling function is good. The zoom is good. Footnotes by writers not available in the print version would make it perfect.

I want to love this magazine but...
Unfortunately, it feels like at least half of the magazine is dedicated to gear. I like reading about new gear a little bit, but I am not really into just reading half a magazine and tossing the rest. I have a bike; I have appropriate gear. If I need new stuff, I have local bike shops that can help with that. I want to read more about biking and bikers, motivational and race stories, tips about training and maintenance how-to's, more articles about biker food and fuel, a little bit about gear, and maybe some humorous stories and opinion columns. I just wish there was a little something more to this magazine besides what seems to be half gear.
