Whether compostable cups are actually a viable replacement for traditional takeaway cups is a debate for a platform other than an Amazon review. However, disposed of correctly (i.e. with food waste going to an industrial composting facility) they are better for the environment.As far as takeaway cups go - these are great. They're strong, okay to hold with hot drinks in, and don't have any kind of taste that affects the drinking experience.If you're after decent takeaway cups - I'd highly recommend these, or get the ones with the lids too - as the lids are compostable too.
