These cotton envelopes are great! I don't wish to use paper envelopes (harm to trees). The glue may be a bit iffy at times - but I have been double-sealing my envelopes with tape for many years - before switching to cotton. (I find that most brands of envelopes have "iffy" glue.) This company makes great 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of cotton paper, too!

If you’re mailing or delivering resumes to potential employers, this product is excellent. No need to look elsewhere.But for standard commercial use (i.e. mailing checks or sensitive information), these envelopes are both expensive and inadequate for privacy protection.Printed letters and checks are easily visible through these envelopes if held under light.That said, this product offers a professionally attractive appearance for resumes and/or other non-sensitive business applications.

I have reviewed this more thoroughly with the letter stock - Southworth Exceptional Resume Paper, 100% Cotton, 24 lb, Ivory, 100 Count (R14ICF). I was concerned with inkjet printing on cotton stock. It comes out clean and crisp. It neither smears nor flakes. In my retirement I am involved in a great deal of activism and believe strongly in the value of snail-mail when it comes to communicating with our elected officials.I have included a small photo for color comparison. The bottom is White House stock. The middle, this product and the top layer is Hammermill 97 white. Hope this might help someone.

If I am generating mail where the recipient is a "professional," please keep the look first class all the way by using these envelopes. As advertised, it works well with any type of printer ( I use inkjet). I also found that the manufacturer was very accommodating by sending me requested samples so I could physically compare samples of what I was viewing on the Amazon site. The sender will receive the required attention because this product lets the recipient know that the sender is "FIRST CLASS." The envelope not dissimilar to the paper product has a texture which is remarkable.

I have used these for several years now and continue to love them. They are fountain pen friendly and give a lovely, crisp look to correspondence. Sometimes they don't seal well and require more deliberate pressure. Since I usually use sealing wax, it's not a deal breaker for me. The white is a great bright white which brings out the colors of various inks. I count on these to the point that I worry when my stock runs low. My sons used these for resumes after graduating university and they definitely stand out as a quality product.
