Rhino Large View (4" X 2.6") + Grind - Auto Darkening Welding Helmet - Silver RH18

As of right now i like this hood. The filter works great. I also like the fit anf coverage. The only real downside ro this hood is the clear lenses. They are very thin compared to say a standard 4.5x 5.25. Flux welding can easily warp the lens. For a hobby welder this is a great hood. For me, as an industrial welder, it has its drawbacks. No overhead, thin lenses. And one hint, buy a lot of lenses when you buy this hood. Only place you can get them

I liked this at first but it does miss the odd flash. I had battery problems too.I have since replaced this with a speedglas which is a different league (and price).

large lens, light weight, but hood does not want to stay up no matter how hard or many times you tighten adjustment knobs. My old hood would stay for days without additional adjustment.

This a very light weight hood. This put me off a little but if it has the legs to last a while the lightness is an asset. Hope it is tough enough to take the use of the average shop. What I do know is that the electronics work very well! Really like not having to turn it on, just put it on and go.Has the standard headband and full adjustments, but you have to assemble it. Didn't like that.

It has already broke, in less than a month of using it. Would not recommend.

This helmet exceeded my expectations. I have struggled with an older auto- darkening shield as I was learning to weld. This was easy to learn to use and made seeing what I was doing so much easier.I would suggest purchasing an upgrade on the harness inside the helmet to one with two straps running over the crow of the head for comfort and more stability.

Love the wide field of view, but the paint scratches very easily. Will need to sand off the original paint and redo it with some heat resistant paint. Probably should have just ordered one in Black and avoid the need to refinish.

This helmet was a defective when it arrived. Batteries were dead so I put New ones in. Still didn't work. Even set it out for the solar to work. Wouldn't bother to buy. Put your money to a better helmet.
