I purchased this for our 6 year old grandson who wants to go "fishing with my dad". This is a great starter kit with all the essentials to become familiar with different aspects of fishing. The tackle box holds all the essentials. It is definitely for kids so every effort was built in for safety. I would not hesitate to recommend this.

One of my daughter's friends went fishing with us this summer and had a blast. He had never been fishing before & didn't have any of his own fishing gear. When his birthday rolled around, we knew exactly what to get him for a gift! This set was a great pick. It had everything he needed to get started & the carry case keeps it all organised for him. He was so excited to go out with us again after his birthday. The rod and reel seemed easy for him to use & he was really happy with it.

I bought 3 of these for my triplet boys and the first time using them, my one son's cast button fell off into the water. I didn't expect much for the price, but be forewarned this won't last long.
